by James L. Hatch, author of "The Substitute."
The book begins in 1918 with a action-packed chase through unrelenting swarms of mosquitoes in the Tunguska region of the Siberian wilderness, where eighty million trees had been scythed flat by the Tunguska cataclysm. An incredible find at the center of the denuded forest precipitates a "to the death" competition between men loyal to Tsar Nicholas and the communists taking over Russia. The tsar's men win that fight, but lose the country, and the prize find is smuggled to the USA.As the story unfolds at the present time, the reader is drawn into a fast-paced spy thriller that interweaves former Special Forces partners who are now aircraft accident investigators working automobile prototypes in New Zealand; an old lady who witnessed an alien spacecraft crash in Roswell, NM; the owner of an Australia adventure tour company; spies from Russia (lots of spies); counter spies from Russia; drug cartels and federal police from Mexico; and OSI agents from the USA. The heroes try desperately to stay up with the bad guys as the killings begin in New Zealand and continue through Australia, Easter Island, Peru, Mexico and the USA. The bad guys suffer attrition, but always seem to come out on top. It makes the reader want to scream, "Look behind you--now!"The plot is complex and compelling, a nail-biter with the survival of the entire USA hanging in the balance. I wish I could tell you how it turns out, but I just can't because I don't want to spoil it. I will only say: (1) The good guys don't always get the girls, and the bad guys don't always win, (2) the reader will be compelled to anxiously turn every page and (3) I only found three tiny little editing issues in the entire book, which is somewhat of a miracle. My congratulations to both the Mr. Morrison and his editor for a job well done."The Roswell Conspiracy" was a free download from Amazon.com when I got it, although that generous offer might have expired by now. I am glad I took the time to download the novel. It was a great read--fascinating and thrilling. I love fast-paced adventure mysteries with a light touch of Sci-Fi, and have no second thoughts about giving "The Roswell Conspiracy" a five-star rating. Way to go Mr. Boyd Morrison, and thank you for the gift of your book.

A great thriller that really makes you think!
Easily one of my most anticipated books of the year. Release number three in the Tyler Locke series, this may be the best book yet. The story opens with Dr. Tyler Locke and Grant Westfield visiting New Zealand's Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds to put a new top secret hybrid test car through a series of cold weather tests. But while in New Zealand, Dr. Locke takes a side trip to visit a seventy-five year old woman claiming to have a piece of wreckage from infamous Roswell crash. Tyler's firm, Gordian Engineering is the foremost airline crash investigation specialist in the United States. This makes Tyler the most logical consultant to help identify the wreckage the old woman has held in secret since 1947.Right out of the gate, the book launches into a rocket propelled thrill-ride as Tyler struggles to uncover the secrets of the Roswell crash. But even the mysteries of crashed alien spacecraft are not enough for a storyteller like Mr. Morrison. Complications quickly arise as secrets long buried by the Russians start coming to light and drawing attention to a rouge SVR agent who attempts to steal the Roswell artifacts. This draws a tangled web of international intrigue that grows to involve the FBI as well as the NSA, international drug-runners and arms dealers. While the books title might lead readers to believe that the plot is filled with crazy UFO theories from the lunatic fringe, this is absolutely not the case. Mr. Morrison crafts a plot that is very plausible and well grounded in modern science and reality. Consider the mystery that is Roswell, add to that the endless unanswered questions pertaining to Tunguska, Easter Isle, and the infamous Nazca Lines. Add a whole lot of international intrigue, a boatload of suspense and endless action and you have a thriller titled The Roswell Conspiracy.

A Great "What If"
This is a story that shouldn't work, but it does. It trots us through the history of the past one hundred years, and across the globe, with imagination and elan. Morrison connects events that usually aren't considered to be related. He begins a few years after the Tunguska blast that leveled acres and acres of Siberian wilderness. He moves to the mysterious, and disputed, crash of an aerial object in the New Mexico desert near Roswell in 1947. He invents an eyewitness who claims to have been saved by one of the "aliens," whoever they were, that were aboard the craft. From there, we get to the Nazca Plain in Peru, and to Easter Island, by way of New Zealand, Australia, and, eventually, North America. All of this seems too complex and stretched to work, but it does. One reason is the appeal of the central characters, a couple of engineers well-suited for the quest upon which history causes them to embark. Others are the now-elderly woman who witnessed the crash, and her granddaughter, a former lover of the title character, Tyler. Even the bad guys, renegade Russians with an agenda of their own, manage to capture our interest. At the heart of the story, finally, is a weapon with the capability to wipe out a continent, and the tiny bit of material needed to make it go. It's not the Unobtainium of Pandora, but it might as well be. Beyond this, I say nothing, lest I give away the plot. Let's just say you'll enjoy the book.

Scarily Realistic
Phrases like 'page turner' and 'roller coaster read' are habitually used to the point of being meaningless. But Boyd Morrison is one of the few writers I have ever encountered who is fully deserving of such epithets. You race with the book as it jumps from one location to another, gradually revealing each twist and turn as it draws the disparate threads together for the climactic encounter in the final pages. That in itself would be worthy of a bestseller, but he goes further. His mix of fact, myth and possibility rarely strains the bounds of credibility. He can make you believe because his interpretation of a combination of events which could have created the myth are quite feasible. And beyond that, in The Roswell Conspiracy, he also demonstrates just how the shell which surrounds present day civilization is built, and which is nothing like as substantial as the steel egg in which we fondly believe that nothing can really interfere with our daily existence. In actuality, we are living inside something as fragile as a soap bubble; a computer controlled, just in time machine where one prick could set back the Western world to the Victorian era.

Russian Aliens?
Well, having read Tsunami Countdown, Noah's Ark Quest and Midas Code, I couldn't resist picking up Roswell Conspiracy as apart from having been entertained by the three mentioned novels by Boyd Morrison, I have always had a fascination on the matter of the Roswell Incident and as to whether our planetary home was indeed visited by aliens. Our hero, Tyler Locke, once more takes us across the globe finding clues and evidence with relative ease and it is this, without too many meandering sub-plots that has the reader continually turning pages and although some of the facts within this story are pretty well known, it's the twist on the Roswell Incident itself that I didn't quite see coming - so well done Mr Morrison! Although I hasten to add that you could have extended it just a tad more - but really, I'm quibbling!Certainly if you want an entertaining and easy read, you'll go a long way to better the story telling that you'll find within these pages.Recommended for reading when you have a few hours to spare - rather than wasting it on most of the dross on TV and that's for sure!

Pacey, Fun Adventure-thriller
The title grabbed me from the outset. Having written Impact Point: Action-Adventure Thriller along a similar vein, but without any UFO link, I was drawn to Boyd Morrison's latest book and I wasn't dissapointed. An excellent roller-coaster adventure with just the right amount of Sci-Fi, adventure, thrills and action all rolled into one. The best and clever part was of course the link to the famous 1947 Roswell UFO crash - or was it? All the characters were realistic and believable and the scenes, locations and action spilled off the page like a movie. I read the book on holiday and was sorry to get to the end. It was my first Boyd Morrison book, but won't be the last...! Great read. Impact Point: Action-Adventure Thriller

Another great Tyler Locke adventure!
A worthy addition to the Tyler Locke series - another fast paced, edge-of-your-seat adventure and an entirely new slant on a decades old mystery. The action moves along relentlessly, as Tyler and friends inadvertently get pulled into an international conspiracy and end up chasing their latest adversary around the world, from the US to Australia, Easter Island and Peru.As always, the science is frighteningly realistic and leaves you wondering just where reality stops and the author's imagination takes over. Resourceful heroes, feisty heroines and a plot just complex enough to keep you thinking and wondering, without leaving you behind. A very enjoyable read.

An enjoyable fast paced action adventure......
A highly enjoyable read, couldn't put it down. If you enjoy adventure, action, with a twist, then this is for you. The author brings the characters/places alive from the pages and you will certainly fall in love with the hero Tyler Locke and sidekick Grant Westfield.
