Dead on arrival
DO NOT BUY.DOA and now they want me to cover shipping cost. Below is my letter to amazon I will update if they do the right thing.Starter/generator starts cart, however it does not charge cart. Generator has been tested by qualified technician and has failed. Upon request of a refund I was sent a return label that requires me to cover shipping cost. This is unacceptable. Discount Starter & alternator sold me a defective part and need to pay for return shipping, and credit my account with a full refund.

First starter generator lasted 21 years this one lasted little over a year and a half ...Stick with orignal equipment

Don't purchase this product!
I installed the starter and it worked well for a week, until it didn't. I took the starter out and opened it up. It was broken inside. The teeth in the gear had been chewed up, and there were metal shavings galore. I am returning the starter for a refund and will order as replacement from another manufacturer, if possible.
