carve out a space for your tool(s) and you're off,-pre cut foam plugs pull out easily, but not so easily that everyday use of tools tears things up-don't overdo the removal of plugs, you want tools to fit tight-don't get complicated, two-three items max (if one is a battery)

This foam is on the pricey side but it works well. It should be about an inch longer to accommodate maybe 2 tool inserts in Lboxx 1 2 3 and 4 otherwise with a plastic tool insert for instance jigsaw plastic tool insert the other side foam for your accessories. Cut foam to accommodate plastic insert trays on one side and foam on the other. You should need only one large sheet of foam for two boxes long enough to avoid run-out and bare space. Thus 4 stars

Maybe a bit expensive but fits L-Box 1 perfectly. It's the only product for others like me with tool OCD.

Pros:Does the job and provides a neat way for organizing items in the L-BoxxCons:VERY over-pricedComes apart too easily - in order to make it easy to tear apart, the perforations go very deep so when you get the parts cut out, putting tools in and out tends to rip the remaining foam apart particularly in thin sections.Overall:I'd buy it again for the convenience with the understanding I'm overpaying for it and it's a bit fragile.

Does not hold your tools in place at all, I ended up using it to apply paint on the molding in the living room
