I hated this book because philosophy is the devil

A nice anthology of readings for beginners. Not really a textbook at all. If you are looking for an anthology, it works. For a textbook, look elsewhere.

I purchased this book with the hopes of learning about Philosophy. I have always had an interest in the subject but never studied it. Since the book claimed it was for new students without knowledge or with limited knowledge of Philosophy, I chose this edition. I am highly disappointed. I cannot even grasp their explanation of validity. for instance, the book claims that " The moon is green the moon is not green , therefore, God exists is a valid argument. It doesn't explain the logic on how it is valid. At least it is written so that I did not understand it. I will return it for a refund and try another edition

Book was exactly what I needed for class. I rented it, so I was prepared for regular wear and tear..but it's actually written in, underlined, and highlighted. Not ok!.

Package was Empty! There is NO book inside! UPDATE - Called and they reissued book and received next day! Amazon is Awesome!

Content is good. But the pages are too thin you can see the other side. Packaging is bad. Book is in bad condition.

The book was purchased second hand but its quality was described as very good and it was priced accordingly. I would describe its actual condition as "fair to poor". Will not use this seller again.
