Perfect for Guacamole, mashed taters, & ground hamburger!
I love my green ZING!!! Mashed potatoes much easier. I can leave them a bit rustic. Ground beef, no problem... beats chopping away at the big pieces with a spatula or spending too much time breaking it all apart with my fingers. But what I really got it for was mashing Avocados for Guacamole. Much easier than a fork and I can leave it chunky, the way we like it. Perfect. It is a good size, sturdy, well made, and washes up easily. So far so good.8/11/2019 - ETA: So a year later I can say this is one of my favorite kitchen tools and I especially love it for cooking up ground hamburger. It breaks it apart so easily I don't need to use any other tool or waste time trying to break it up into small bits with my fingers as I put it into the skillet.

Random, assorted colors, but works well
I've used the Zing! twice now. It works well, but I agree with a previous poster that it works best if you leave the meat in it's rectangular form out of the package, and let the meat cook and brown about halfway on both sides before you attempt to break it up. Works much better that way. I usually cook with ground turkey or ground chicken. I wish you could choose the color. I did contact the seller and they said they would do their best to try to accommodate my request for a blue or green Zing! but I still got a red one. I knew there was no guarantee on color, which is why I'm not deducting a star. Just be aware assorted, random colors and you can't choose the color.

Most used kitchen tool!
I love this kitchen utensil. I use almost every day. Great for chopping and stirring ground meats. So much better than a spoon or spatula.

Great tool for making tacos, meat sauces, etc. Love it!
Just used for the first time today, in making my turkey tacos and love how quick & easy it was to break up the meat into tiny pieces as soon as I put it in the pan. It was much less effort and strain on my wrist/forearm with the Zing tool than with my favorite spatula, and the meat ended up in a finer grind that made it even better to sprinkle over nachos. I prefer the spatula for removing the meat from the pot/pan, but this tool serves its purpose perfectly. This will be used weekly going forward; I wish I had it years ago. It was also a great bargain compared to the Pampered Chef original and other versions out there.

Ground Turkey Tip
I've used my Zing 4 times now and I'm pleased with it. Somehow, a friend was telling about how she had made something with finely chopped up browned hamburger meat. I asked how she did it and she said she used a Pampered Chef tool and it worked really well. I didn't want to get sucked into a Pampered Chef party, so I thought I'd see if I could get it through Amazon. They did have it, but as I read reviews, they said there was another brand that was better and less expensive. So I check it out, and those reviewers said the Zing was as good or better and less expensive, so I went over to the Zing and read the reviews for *it*! In the end, I decided to go with the Zing. In fact, I got two so I could give one to my mother. (She cooks with hamburger a lot.)I, however, cook with ground turkey. The first two times I cooked ground turkey, I wasn't too impressed. Ground turkey is very "sticky" and moist and it tended to stick to the blades of the Zing. I didn't like the idea of raw meat coming in contact with cooked meat, so I would end up washing it partway through the cooking process--not cool. The other problem was the meat was just so sticky and moist, it wasn't really chopping up as much as mushing up. So last night I tried a different tack. My turkey was sold in a flat tray (like hamburger), so I plopped it into the pan and left it in its rectangular form until the bottom was browned, then I flipped it over, intact, and browned the other side. After both sides were browned and "set," then I started breaking up the meat with the Zing. It worked MUCH better and I got the fine ground texture I was hoping for. So, the trick is to let the turkey cook about halfway (at least) first before you start chopping. Previously I had started in right off the bat with the Zing and it was just too soon. (I think I was just too eager to try it.)One other time I had leftover cooked fish fillets and I used the Zing to chop up the fillets before I used it to mix in with other ingredients. That worked well too.The only thing I didn't like about the ordering process was I didn't get to choose colors. Not a biggie and wouldn't stop me from recommending it, but they have several fun colors and I didn't know what I would end up with.

Awesome kitchen tool
My husband loves this tool! He always complained that he couldn’t get meat chopped as finely as he would like. With this tool, it makes chopping ground beef/turkey a breeze. He loves it! The tool has been durable so far although we’ve only had it for a month or so. I thought we would get a green one as pictured but the one that came was orange. Not a big deal to me but could be annoying if someone was looking to get a specific color.
