I have never been a pressure cooker person. I grew up and we all used slow cookers. My Mom had a pressure cooker and loved it. So, after all these years I decided to try one just for time saving.Last night I cooked my first meal of pinto beans in the pressure cooker. Took about an hour from start to finish using the natural release method. A lot faster than my slow cooker, and the flavor was great. No problems with its functionality. Easy to use and easy to clean. I'm looking forward to trying new things. And, I believe that the 8.4 quart size will be great for stews and roasts and chicken. I had a couple of question along the way in making my purchase decision and the customer service from Zabor was great. So far, I have nothing negative regarding this product. It was easy to use and the instructions made good sense to me. Now all that's left to do is plan more meals to test this to its maximum capacity.

I always buy the biggest possible sizes because I like to cook big batches. It's neatly designed, works really well, holds the pressure even on medium low heat and is easy to use with the safety mechanism. I also have the option to pressure can in this 👍 from me

Large, heavy duty, safety latches-catches-locks-buttons-EVERYWHERE! This is exactly what I was looking for and more. Easy to read instructions (try that with many items received today), print is actually readable and large enough. Tips and techniques....Do's and Don'ts....Cleaning and storing...Replacement parts & pieces.... Customer Care contact information repeated over and over. Love this piece of equipment. WILL purchase another one in five to ten years (when necessary or IF ever necessary)! Geez...what else can one say about the best method or means to cook legumes COMPLETELY and PERFECTLY!

I bought this pressure cooker after debating about it for a while. I'd been using the Presto cooker for absolutely years and liked it well enough. But this cooker is a game-changer. I bought the 10 qt and it's just big and fabulous! I can cook soups and pot roasts--any type of meat really. It is so versatile. This is also big enough for those who like to can. I've never done that before, but I can see how it would easily adapt. I just love it. The cooker is super shiny, heavy stainless steel, and washes great. I wash mine by hand because I don't want to ruin the beautiful finish. I spray the interior with Pam so I've never had baked on foods. It washes up easily and is ready for the next meal. A great addition to any kitchen!

I don't think it sealed tight. Steam was coming out of the sides and you could release the top right away

Perfect size for making soups! Love that I can make a pot in 45 minutes and vegetables maintain freshness.

The media could not be loaded. I had Fagor brand that I bought many years ago after I saw a review by the American Test Kitchen - and it still works great. This one Zavor however is a total junk BY DESIGN. It keeps releasing steam as the liquid insanely boils inside. It used to require some/just enough liquid to get up to pressure - now you need to have it filled up with a 30 pound kettlebell on top. As it cooks the kitchen turns into steam room. Unbelievable junk!!!! I wasted 80$ worth of ingredients trying to make a simple chilly - works like a charm in the old Zavor. I guess I'm done with Zavor.
