Gentlemen's Blend Beard Butter

Grave Before Shave’s Gentlemen’s Blend Beard Butter has been a great addition to my routine. The scent is clean and really enjoyable without being overpowering. The jar is generously sized, so there’s no worry about running out quickly. Since using it, my beard has become noticeably softer and much more manageable. I’ve tried other beard products before, but I like this one better, and it’s made me want to try more from this brand. Overall, a great product that delivers exactly what I was hoping for.

After trying beard oils, beard balms, and now beard butter, I can confidently say that beard butter is my absolute favorite for my beard. It totally depends on the texture of your beard and the style you’re going for, but if your beard is trimmed well and shaped generally the way you like it, you really don’t need a heavy product like balm to keep it in place. You really just need something to lubricate the skin underneath your beard so that it doesn’t get dry and itchy. The oil was too shiny and messy to deal with. The balm was too waxy feeling and made my beard feel heavy. But the butter strikes the perfect balance in that it catches some fly-away hairs and gives it a very mild shine, but also works its way to the skin underneath while keeping my beard feeling light. I love the aroma of the bay rum and always recommend this product to all my friends who have beards.

I noticed a difference in the control and softness of my beard after first night of use. I put it on right after my shower and then went to bed a short time later. It was absorbed by the time I woke up and I was able to easily comb through my beard all of the next day. I like that it's all natural ingredients and since there's no wax in it, I actually rub in whatever is left on my hands like a moisturizer. I bought the Gentleman's Blend and to me... it smells like a warm, comfortable musk with just a hint of cinnamon. The scent isn't overpowering and I like getting the occasional waft of it throughout the day. I highly recommend it.

Great product. Doesn’t keep my beard firm. Wife loves the smell. Just warm a little in your hands and apply. Comb out and go. Definitely will buy again in 5 years as this goes a long way.

I really like Grave Before Shave products. I started with their beard shampoo and conditioner and loved them so much that I decided to try the beard butter. The first one was fantastic — great smell, smooth texture, and way better than several other brands I’ve tried. I liked it enough that I ordered a second one just to keep in my gym bag. Unfortunately, the second beard butter arrived damaged. It was extremely grainy — almost like trying to moisturize my beard with sandpaper. If I hadn’t liked the product so much already, I probably would have just thrown it out. To make matters worse, the scent on the second one was actually my favorite, which made it even more disappointing. I tried calling the company to see about returning it, but it was over the holidays so no one picked up. I also sent an email and haven’t heard back yet, but I understand it’s a busy time of year. Before giving up, I started reading other reviews and learned this is a fairly common issue due to the natural ingredients and temperature changes during shipping. Thankfully, another reviewer shared a simple fix: gently microwave the product to melt it, then let it cool and reset. I tried it — and it worked perfectly. The butter came out smooth again. I had to do the same thing with the balm, and it also fixed that issue. I really wish there was a note or insert warning that the product can arrive grainy but is easily fixable. I almost tossed it before finding that solution. Overall, I still really like Grave Before Shave — the scents are great, and when the texture is right, the products are excellent. Just be aware of the potential shipping issue and know there’s an easy fix if it happens.

Used the beard oils before. First time trying the beard butter. Looked at other reviews. Was skeptical about the grittiness from the pics. I received mine and it was slightly gritty. Rubbed a small amount on my hand and melted like butter. No grit at all. Smells amazing and you don’t need much! Very rich and moisturizing!! Customer for life! Great product and love their oils.

My husband often uses this beard cream. He has tried other brands, but this one is definitely a favorite. I enjoy the smell, and it makes his beard very soft! A little goes a long way, so this product lasts a long time, making it definitely worth the price.
