Looking at the trivia while watching this team you can see why this movie which had good elements fell apart swapping directors producers writers never has a good outcome.You can tell they tried to emulate the buddy cop success of lethal weapon and infuse with the synth sounds of Beverly Hills Cop. Two superior movies of the 80's which deserve a classic status.It's not a bad movie per say. Both Stallone and Russell acquit themselves admirably. But Stallone wasn't in the best phase of his career. I wouldn't put this in the best movies list by Russell (Escape from New York, The Thing, Big Trouble in Little China, Tombstone , Stargate) or Stallone (Rocky, Rocky Balboa, Demolition Man, Cliffhanger, First Blood)Interesting to a bunch of familiar 80/90ss faces. Teri Hatcher in this Before her run On Lois and Clark. Jack Palance was big in City Slickers and Batman. A bunch of character actors like James Hong, Brion James, Marc Alaimo ( gul dukat from ds9!) Clint howard ( Ron Howard's brother!). Hell even Kurt Russell dad bing Howard had a part.Its truly a nonsense story. framed, in court sentenced in two weeks?!?! A villain with worst cockney accent since Dick Van Dyke it's full on cheese and you'll cringe at the way things looked back then.I'll never forget this movie because i had my first kiss in the cinema wiith a lovely girl from France. So it was nice catching up with this movie 20+ years later to see what i missed!

I love this move , 2 Hollywood legends….. I recommend everyone watch it

What’s not to like about this film.

Best scenes have been removed for some unexplained reason. I paid for it on Amazon as it was my favorite movie from my childhood. And because of that I have watched it countless times. But this Amazon version is simply: for kids.

the box was in good condition as was the dvd as for the movie itself it was 80'Action Comedy at its best.Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell was great duo as two rival L.A cops who are framed by a crazy crime lord play to perfection by Jack Palance who's a good villain. the car chase was awesome as was the crime hideout shootout. even though it only got 6.2 on imdb and 39% on Rotten Tomatoes when it deserved 7.8 because it was funny as well as Action packed and its got good performances from both Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell. teri hatcher is good as rays sister as well as Gabriel's love intrest. Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell make a good duo. if you want laughs and non stop Action tango and cash is the place to go its better then a 100 die hard.you will love it:)!!!!!!

Full disclosure, this is great piece of 80s action fair, with beautifully cheesy turns by the two leads. An inspired choice, casting Stallone as the suave, sophisticated, by-the-book cop, and Russel - a former clean-cut child star - as the rugged maverick.There's also some great, silly, over-the-top action, and a cast of punchable-faced goons with the punchable-est of faces.The TWO STAR rating is for the abysmal, broadcast-on-a-Saturday-afternoon-on-ITV cutting they've done to it (on Amazon Prime, at least). Not everywhere, mind you: the bad language is still in full force, and a lot of the action has been retained, but some patronising buffoon has decided that graphic (read 'silly') scenes of violence - such as an oaf's head being pressed against prison bars, or our two leads being unconvincingly electrocuted - is too much for the precious little flowers who would choose to watch an 18 certificate 80s action romp, starring Rambo, a small nation's worth of munitions and a 4x4 packed with rocket-launchers and chain-guns.Put a dampener on my Friday evening's entertainment.

I love this film its one of my favourites but unfortunately the picture quality is not that good and the fact they cut the best bits out of the film
