He likes it!
6/30/2019 This has worked like a charm over the last two days for my elderly father. He finds it much easier to put in place and has had no leaks with it so far. He’s also telling us its comfortable, and is glad we found this. We’ve been trying other external catheters, but nothing that has worked consistently like this has. Like others have mentioned the packaging and instructions are in Chinese (the box actually looks like holiday decorations) so be prepared to do pretend its an IKEA dresser you refuse the read the directions on. Overall though, it was easy for me to figure out, especially if you’ve been trying other brands or reading any of the online help. I’m waiting to see how the silicone cup is over time...it shouldn’t cause an allergic reaction (+) but we’re waiting to see what nightly wear does in terms of skin condition.

Doesn't have a function
I am a very fair person. I am creative to make solutions to my specific problems. I will give an honest review of this product. It arrived in the mail on the morning of the expected day. That was nice. When I received the package, I opened up the envelope it came in. The box was slightly smooshed but it seemed okay. My first impression was that there was no name brand to it, no imagery other than a wallpaper like you would find on websites. There was not a single character that was not Chinese except for the barcode digits. I had to refer to google images to figure out how to put it on.When starting to put it on, I noticed that the bag AND the funnel leaked out of some kind of plug. I attempted to seal the funnel plug with a half a roll of scotch tape. The process of snapping the funnel in place removed the tape.I had to stretch like a pretzel to get the straps around. I put the straps on so tightly that it caused wounds on my skin. The funnel directs the urine not only down (which is appropriate) but also behind (which does not make sense). Basically the tip of the funnel goes from my crotch to the crack of my butt. This makes it very uncomfortable to sit or walk.As I completed the assembly (breaking a sweat) I wanted to go outside for a few minutes. The type of plastic that this thing is made of is very hard on the skin. It rubs very hard almost like latex or rubber or something. When I sat down, I felt the top of the funnel being pressed into my abdomen. I am not fat. I am a little overweight. 5 ft 6 with a 36inch waist. As soon as I stood up from the bench, I leaked through my pants. Within seconds there was a 5 or 6 inch wide circle at my zipper (dead center of where the funnel is). I went inside, checked the device. There was not a drop in the bag or the tube.Within 10 minutes of signing for the package, it was already creating laundry. So I ran it through the wash, along with my pants and other items. I got it out and laid everything out to make a plan. I adjusted the sizes and positions. I pre-assembled it prior to putting it on. I put it on, sat down in my chair and checked the tubing before trusting it with clothes or taking off a diaper. I checked the tubing and it was creased right where the funnel crushes into the chair. I was still wearing the diaper with this for backup. After a few hours, I checked it and I had urine in the bag and the diaper was dry. Awesome. Maybe it works. So I got dressed to go outside. As I leaned over, it spilled. I layed out a washable chuck on the bed to process the chaos. I took this device apart and laid it on the chuck. There was still urine sitting in the funnel, which spilled onto the chuck. Good thing I'm paranoid about my bed.By the way, On the 1liter leg bag, it has a valve on it that looks like the steam stack from an old fashion train. I thought maybe this was an air relief valve so it won't pop. I tipped it over inside the trash can and urine just flowed out. This design was intentionally malicious. I do not see any reason to spend the money developing this part.Oh, for those people who use those 1 inch wide elastic straps for leg bags, I know you know what I'm talking about here. Why do they design high pressure straps so thin? It reminds me of rubber bands around your wrist. The ones that leave marks all over your wrist. This damages soft tissue. I came up with an idea of using a shoe string as a belt and attaching it to the device/foley/whatever using a slipknot to keep it in place.Anyway, as far as this product is concerned, the only value it has is for parts. You can use the hose for other things, have a spare bedside bag, and can use the funnel to fill your engine fluid lolIf this had an accordion-style outlet, smoother plastic, outlet that went down instead of backward, more versitile or various straps, complete lack of those valve things, a better seal, and pockets on the sides to add emergency urine guard pads and parts/components to route the tubing in a reliable comfortable way, then it would be well worth the money. As it stands, this was a very expensive laundry day for me. $45 spent and what did I get out of it? A load of laundry and a minute of humiliation. The idea is kind of cool though. I do have a groin protector like baseball players use. I may modify that. Ugh I wish I had a sewing machine and 3d printer. I could have finished making it by now. Ya know, now that I think about it, here's something weird about this product. So, my ex fiance has had incontinence for over 30 years. Her mother is a nurse practitioner with over 10 years experience as a continence (among other acronyms) nurse. I've been to several urologists about this issue. Not a single person has ever mentioned a funnel approach to this. Interesting, right? Maybe there's a reason?

Good alternative.
I would absolutely recommend this product.I wish it came with an extra elastic/fabric attachment for use while washing. It is not 100%leakproof but if used with a diaper it does hep keep the patient dryer. Also the bag I received could not be sealed so the first night all the urine ran out on the floor. Fortunately I had a spare bag on hand so I just switched it out. The other problem is there are no English instructions but it doesn’t take much to figure it out.

Ayuda a la micción nocturna
Mi esposo toma diuréticos y los viajes al baño le impiden dormir tranquilamente. Este urinario portátil actúa como una sonda, sin producir molestia alguna.

Leaks
This product was a huge disappointment! Many of the reviews I read prior to purchasing denied severe leakage. I attempted several different adjustments to prevent leakage - but nothing worked. I even tried a Depends over the pouch bag but it pinched the bag and it leaked even more. If the person is able to move around at all during the night there is bound to be leakage. A Depends alone works better than this product - and they are disposable so no clean up. The elastic belt and cup holder I washed in a lingerie bag and it seemed to do okay. However, the tubing, cup and bag are difficult to clean thoroughly. Just soaking in warm soapy water did not remove the odor. Since we used it I cannot return it. I do NOT recommend this product to anyone, for any reason. Save your money - I wish I had!

Meh
In theory the product is great...the execution is lacking. The urinal was ordered for a bed bound elderly male. If he remains on his back it stays in place pretty well. Rolling to the side causes leakage but did help to keep him drier overall. The urinal shouldn’t be worn too long as it seemed to be too much for the skin on his penis and caused some changes to the skin. I hand washed the fabric and hung it to dry. The end stitching on straps to secure it in place immediately started unraveling. I unfortunately purchased two because It initially seemed like it would work fine and I thought a second would help with alternating to helpIt to last longer. All packaging and instructions are in a foreign language that cannot be deciphered. If I used it incorrectly or washed it incorrectly I don’t know.
