BSN Medical 7253901 Cuticell Ointment Dressing, 3" x 3" Size (Pack of 50)

My wound care physician recently recommended Cuticell Ointment Dressings for a lower-leg wound that we've been having a hard time getting to heal. We'd tried a couple other types of dressings and were able to get improvement, but it has seemed like the wound simply wouldn't completely heal.I've been using these BSN Medical Cuticell Ointment Dressings for a few days and am definitely seeing positive results. I ordered and received a pack of 50 3"x3" dressings. My physician felt like these would absorb drainage but hopefully help keep my wound dryer. So far, this has been the case when I use a more absorbent pad on top of the Cuticell.This is a mesh design made from an acetate fabric. It applies easily on the wound. I change the dressing every two days per my own physician's recommendations. After two days, it comes off fairly easily but typically not all in one piece. The mesh is definitely more fragile than some dressings, though I think that is part of what's making this more effective.This dressing helps maintain the moist environment - this is needed for effective healing. However, it also helps prevent the bacteria growth and it helps prevent unhealthy moisture from drainage.For me, the proof is simply in the results. Since using these dressings, my leg has started healing quite a bit more and you can simply tell the wound is healthier and the healthier skin is forming around it. I'd definitely recommend these dressings. I'm having a positive experience with them. They're a little harder to find, but they're worth the effort. I also find them them a bit better in terms of value - I've paid more and gotten less a couple times and this is reasonably priced and really does the job and creates the right environment for effective wound healing. I'm definitely a fan.
