Excellent Laptop Wire Adapter
Worked very well for the replacement wire we needed for our laptop. Would buy again if need to.

Inexpensive fix for me!
It did the trick to keep my laptop charged. After a trip to the Geek Squad, I was so happy to find out this was all I needed. I was expecting some expensive repairs or a whole new laptop. Easy to just plug in and go, even for this non techy grandma!

Faulty unit trips circuit breakers...
I don't write negative reviews but I'll make an exception here. I bought this about six months ago for my wife's HP laptop so she could leave her OEM charger at the office. This one seemed to do the job OK for about four months but one day she was working in our TV room, which, at the time, had a good amount of other electrical things running. when the circuit breaker for that room tripped. That very rarely happens in our house and we initially thought power had gone out in the entire house (a power company issue) but it was just this one breaker. Figured that out, reset the circuit, and five minutes later it tripped again. The only variable was the laptop being plugged in but we shut a bunch of things off and the breaker was fine. Just in case, I ran an extension cord from an outlet on another circuit for the laptop and the problem did not recur. A week later, my wife was working in the kitchen at night and went to bed with the computer still plugged in and active. I went to get some water out of the refrigerator and the light didn't turn on. I looked further and found that it wasn't running...the circuit breaker had tripped. Very odd, and another clue. Finally, just yesterday, my wife had her computer at a client's home (she's a realtor) and guess what...? She tripped a circuit in that house. Case solved. Maybe a faulty unit but I'm not buying this particular AMAZON RECOMMENDED product again.
