One of my favorite rescue bots
My 3.5 year old's rescue bot collection is nearly complete... partially due to my own interest in playing along with them. In my son's eyes he likes them all... the newest one he likes most. Here is a list of the order of my favorites and why:1. Blades - blades is the only one that has a moving object (propeller) and also is the only non-ground bot, so it's fun to have him a part of any collection to change things up. He's also very easy to transform and his transformation looks good.2. Heatwave - this was the first one we bought and was a great one to start off with. The way the ladder pulls up to transform is very creative and cool. fire engines are cool and a must for rescuing, so Blades and Heatwave together are really all that's needed to make the perfect rescue. His transformability can be difficult for a young one because the arms don't always want to stay down without holding them both down at once.3. Hoist - when heatwave pops a tire or gets stuck it's nice to have hoist around to pull him out of trouble. Hoist also looks pretty bad-ass and bulky as a robot. His tranformability is similar to Heatwave.4. Medic - medic is the only one that has a button that activates the transformation. I think as a robot he looks pretty silly, but he's useful to have when someone gets hurt5. Chase - not always able to incorporate him in our playing. My son really wanted him, but after getting him he didn't get a whole lot of time with him like he did with the others.6. Boulder - super easy to transform, which makes it kind of boring but good for a 2 year old. He doesn't really help out much except for pushing things off our coffee table that I keep telling my son to leave alone.* Dinobot - my son just got the Heatwave dinobot for xmas. It doesn't transform, but my son loves it. It makes noise, which is pretty darn annoying, but it sure entertains him. I didn't think it would be as fun due to not transforming, but it's fun to use as an accessory to our missions. All in all, every one of these are made very well, will last through lots of toddler abuse, fun to take in the bath, and are entertaining.

BEST TOYS EVER
If you are searching for the PERFECT handheld toy for a little boy (or little girl, really) aged 3-6, THESE are the toys! These Rescue Bots have been around the world with my son. They have been thrown on the ground during massive battles between bots and dug into the sand to be buried treasure. These guys have been tossed in the tub and rough housed only short of being run over by a car (although they may even survive that!!) My son is rough on toys and these guys have lasted the years. I LOVE these and HIGHLY recommend for little tough tikes like mine! They all still transform super easily which is perfect for little hands or those kiddos who do not want to take the time to transform in 8-10 steps. These transform in 1 or two easy steps! Sturdy and easy. LOVE LOVE LOVE! Not to mention that the TV show, Rescue Bots, is a fantastic show with morals and values that most TV shows lack these days.

Fun toy, questionable durability
Purchased for $15 around Christmas. 3 yr old loves the toy and has no problem transforming independently. Only con is the durability; the right arm snapped off after a month of normal use (not abuse ... I was in the room when it happened). I was able to repair the arm; but, these are definitely not as sturdy as the original transformers (late 80's).

Thank you amazon! Great toy
My 4 year old newphew has started collecting these rescue bots, and we wanted to get him a few for christmas to jump start his collection, and the stores were wiped out around christmas time, so faithful amazon had just what we were looking for. This tow bot was nowhere to be seen at all, so im so glad we were able to find him on amazon. They are they coolest little transformers for little boys. We have a 3 year old little boy who was none the wiser to rescue bots until his cousin introduced these at christmas, and he loves them as well. I love things that my kids can collect and were excited to start him his own collection. These little transformers really do function too, they roll just like a toy car. Which is a big reason our son loves them. If it doesnt do something hes not interested. So the fact he transformes from a bot to a tow truck and he can actually play him in tow truck mode is very exciting to his little 3 year old mind. The only thing i would caution is amazons prices are not always reflecting the correct price on these toys. Ive seen them for$ 20 to$ 25and tnese toys usually in the stores run from about $12 to $15 but if you just wait amazons prices usually level out and they go back down to the normal price.
