Worth it 11/10
This box is exactly what I need. I need lower-security storage that is lightweight and that can be easily hidden. This box is the perfect size, the combination lock works smoothly, and the appearance is a feasible deterrence from afar, or to the untrained eye. The book cover is black and has the texture of a hardcover book. I keep mine in a box of books on the top shelf. The storage box feels sturdy and well-made. I feel it provides the kind of security that would pair equally with a 3-digit combination. The outer cover does not feel the most durable. The cover is cardboard, and feels like a hardcover book. The 'pages' are molded, hard plastic. Up close, very obvious. The plastic feels weak. I wouldn't drop it.Overall, awesome value for the price. Easily stores my lightweight items that do not require high-security, fire, or water protection.

Super convenient for storing small valuables.
I was pretty skeptical ordering this but it's the perfect size, easy to set-up/change password and looks like it belongs in my book shelf. Definitely recommend.

As described. Great price. Good size to blend in with other books. Comes with 2 keys. Durable and not flimsy. Recommended

Not realistic up close.
If you can easily carry the safe out the door, your stuff isn’t any safer.

It’s A Must Have !
The media could not be loaded. One of the best items I’ve ever bought here on Amazon hands-down!!!! I don’t trust banks so I needed a place to store my valuables and my money and this thing is the best because it looks like a book but it’s not. It’s the best little safe that you can get it’s genius!

If you don't know how it works, you'll never spot the code!
I suspected that a child might be raiding my stash of money while I was on my long walks. One day somebody gave me a thousand dollars, counting it twice first, and I counted it once then, and once when I put it with my money at home. Next morning there were only $990 in my stash. That confirmed my suspicions, so I ordered the book safe. There are only three digits, so if you forget your number you can start with 000 and work up to 001 and so on to your number in about twenty minutes. That means that the child could also work it out in twenty minutes... or does it.Nothing happens when you get the right number!!!You must turn a knob that you can't turn with the wrong number and then you can lift the lid. But if you don't know that, when you hit the right number nothing happens. And sometimes I get home in only a quarter of an hour. I think the child will be very discouraged trying to find the right number while he can rely on me being away! But if I ever forget the number, I can find it myself.Extra sneaky trick: a tiny slider falls into place after you set the number the first time. If you use a gimlet, you can push the slider back and set a new number. I've just done that in case the child did manage to decode the number.
