I needed a set of stools for my kitchen island. After reading a lot of other reviews, I ordered these. The price was awesome. My other reviewers complained about the difficulty of assembling these, so I asked the contractor who was installing my kitchen to give it a try. He reported that he replaced some of the hardware with sturdier stuff but overall it was pretty easy to put together. I love the rich look of the walnut color and the sturdiness of the stools. They are comfortable to sit on and I love that they are narrow enough to fit under the counter when not in use and don't stick out into the room. I'm very happy with these stools. Definitely recommend.

Why are assembly instructions provided with no written steps? The illustrations are vague and misleading- after following I had to dissemble and start over. So, use common sense instead. Line up the legs so that the holes for the crossbar fittings line up. Screw the legs on but leave loose so it’s easy to fit the crossbars in to their corresponding holes. Once that’s done, tighten the legs. That’s it. Why couldn’t the instructions just say this? And the included Allen wrench is difficult to use when screwing in legs because there isn’t much turning room, and the Allen wrench must fit into the bolt exactly- I can’t count how many times I thought it was a good fit only to find it spinning like the screw was stripped. Pain in the you know what! Why can’t the manufacturer use screws and include a simple screwdriver? But, once assembled these stools look great! Real wood, not some cheap manufactured stuff, and look and feel quite sturdy. Good price too, making these stools worth the aggravation of assembly.

I don’t typically write reviews, but I’m so impressed with these chairs. Super easy to assemble- it only took my husband and I 25 minutes to build 2. Super happy. Good, sturdy quality.

This shorter stool was perfect for what I needed. Since it's hard for me to stand long I needed something I could sit on while blow drying my hair. It's sturdy and just the right size. When I'm not using it, it fits nicely placed under my hanging clothes in my closet.

Exactly what we wanted. They fit our space perfectly. Very sturdy. They look great!
