This is a positive read for new believers, they can us the scriptures and apply to modern life. Buy for a few friends.

Accurate translation
This New Living Translation Bible has really helpful side notes written by Greg Laurie. It's not just for new Christians, it's fantastic for all.I've tried most translations over the years and I've found the NLT to be the easiest to understand version of the Bible without compromising it's accuracy.

Detailed, packed with features
Pros:It’s the Bible, what’s not to love? Best guide book to life ever printed!Good, modern translationExcellent study aids and additional information - especially for new Christians or people just wanting to understand what this book (or more accurately, collection of books and letters) is all about.Cons:This is only a small one but they’ve packed so many extras and features into the page that sometimes it feels a little over busy. I don’t know if there’s a simpler layout solution other than increasing the size of the book (it’s the same size of as a normal book you’d buy for a holiday read).Still, this book is a life-saver - quite literally - so I highly recommend it. Just one star off for its busy-ness.
