I read all the reviews for this, but I'm not impressed with the product. I recently got a pretty tea set that I use everyday. I was looking to get a warmer plate to keep the pot warm, but everyone was raving about using a tea cosy. Well, it kept my tea tepid after an hour. Color is bright and beautiful and it fits well over my 4-6 cup teapot. Really wanted it to work. Don't feel like going to the trouble to send it back. So now I still have to find something to keep my tea at an adequate temp for at least 2 hrs. Any suggestions?3/4/2014. I do so wish to revise my review of this item that I posted earlier today. I gave it a one star and stated I was not impressed.. It is really my bad, and I apologize. On reading the instruction (which I was about to dispose of), , I learned that the teapot will serve me best if if I pre-warm it before adding hot water to brew the tea. This will keep the tea hotter longer. I did not do this prior to using the tea cosy. So once I learned this I prewarmed my pot with hot tap water while I wait for my kettle to heat up the eater for the tea. I brewed my tea, covered it with the cozy and had some 10 mins later. Piping hot as expected. Then I waited an hour before getting my second cup. Still very hot, but not piping hot. Excellent. Two hours later I had my third cup. It was at a very pleasant temperature, not warm or hot. Excellent. Three hours later it was warm, not tepid. Very enjoyable without having to heat up in the microwave. I am thrilled! This is what I'd hoped for all along. I'm so glad that I initially thought it would be too much trouble to return it. Now I can enjoy my tea, and the pretty cozy to keep it warm for me. Please don't hesitate to buy it.

Years ago I purchased the Portmeirion Blue Italian Tea Cozy and I've enjoyed it so much that I wanted to get another one to have on hand while I wash one. After shopping amazon and other stores, it seemed that these were only available from the UK, more expensive and that it would take a while to receive so I decided to try another brand of tea cozy and was extremely disappointed. It seems that I've been spoiled all these years by my Portmeirion cozy. I know they are more expensive but they are truly worth it. They are are large enough to fit large pots including my Bodum coffee press! They are also thick enough that they keep my tea and coffee warm for quite a while...an hour or more. I place my pots on a basic pot holder and then put the cozy over the top. They wash very well and because they shrink just a tiny bit, they get even thicker. I love these so much that I purchased this one and another Blue Italian. They arrived quickly too. Don't waste your money on the less expensive ones.

Beautiful quilted teapot cozy that isn’t cheap. but is worth the money. Big enough for large teapots,and thick enough to keep the pot warm for an extended period.

I love this tea cosy. It is beautiful and so well made. But what else would you expect from Portmeirion. It is very thick and it is large so it will cover a large teapot. Lovely print on the fabric.

I treated myself to a proper tea set for Christmas and realized I needed a tea cozy to keep my tea pot warm. It looked fantastic on my holiday dining room table and it kept the tea quite hot!

This tea cozy looks nice and keeps my teapot warm. What can one possibly say more about a tea cozy?

Perfect gift for the in-laws! Good fabric and insulation. Classic pattern for any kitchen.

This is a great idea for keeping my tea hot throughout the amount of water in my pitcher. I can drink my tea at a leasurely rate and still have hot tea at the end.
