Q: Which is better for home defense by a smaller woman the Crusher or the Smasher

I purchased both the 29" Crusher and the 34" Smasher; they are both wonderful but each has its advantages. The Crusher is shorter and lighter, which makes it easier to swing in the house. The Smasher is longer and heavier, which gives more reach and power. I am 6'0" and weight 200 lbs and if I needed a bat for self defense in the home I would definitely reach for the Crusher. If for some reason I was outside and needed self defense protection, then I would prefer the Smasher for the extra reach. I hope that helps.

Cold steel is the brand. Its injection molded polypropylene which is an incredibly durable plastic. It won't be crushed or snapped.

Q: What is the diameter of the bat at it's thickest area?

The bat is 2 1/4" in diameter at its thickest area. (actually 2.23 inches if you calculate it using the circumference which is 7").Hope this helps.

Q: How does Proposition 65 apply to this wood bat?

The production of most plastic products (like polypro) produces a carcinogenic gas as a by-product. Thats why you see the Prop 65 warning on so many plastic products. This is a plastic bat 👍
