lovely skin 'lotion'
This is in line with the types of 'lotion' you can get with Japanese and Korean skin products - think of a toner, basically, because this is not a thick, creamy 'lotion' but a watery one. It's the type of 'lotion' that's part of a multi-step beauty regime, and yes, it seems this is meant to be used with other Paul & Joe facial products. I've tried their lipsticks, which are so darn cute and moisturizing, and this seems to go along with that as well. They definitely seem to be aimed at the Japanese beauty market as well as elsewhere, and they put a lot of effort into their packaging considering how lovely the bottle is - I'm tempted to keep it and repurpose it when the lotion is gone. The lotion itself smells wonderful (though if you have a thing for fragrance, you might want to reconsider purchasing it). You're to use a small amount with a cotton ball or pad and apply it to your face, and so far it definitely aids in moisturizing my skin with no negative effects. It is very expensive, though, and I've used other toners/lotions which do just as good a job at a cheaper price point.

A water texture, very different
Really very pretty bottle, looks good on bathroom shelf or counter. It has a light, almost undetectable scent that is neutral and pleasant. I do like it thus far, but am not sure if it is the way it should be, or not.The label is lotion, but even shaken vigorously, the actual liquid is clear and almost like just water in texture. Maybe a microscopic difference in texture once on skin, but I can’t really tell. I have been using it anyway, my face is extra sensitive and I have rosacea, and this is not bothering my skin at all. I keep it in the fridge, if nothing else, the cold, watery texture is really refreshing on my burning rosacea cheeks during flares, and even when my skin is calm.

Applies like toner, but it's lotion.
There are zero instructions when you receive this bottle which is agitating. It's like water in your hands and so I was very skeptical. I tried it on my legs after shaving and was pleasantly surprised that it worked just as well as my "ultra moisturizing" lotions. Unlike my other lotions, this stuff doesn't leave behind any sort of greasy or sticky residue which is nice. I don't really notice a scent either. I'm a little too nervous to use this on my face, I can easily turn into a grease monkey if I'm not careful. But this will be nice especially as winter comes in and my skin gets really dry and irritated. However the price is really steep and for me not worth it, despite how nice this lotion works.

Not a fan at all!
I may as well just be putting water on my skin. This is supposed to be a "lotion", created to moisturize the skin but it feels nothing at all like a lotion. At an average price of over $40 for appx 6 oz. In my opinion, it simply isn't worth it. I like the feel of a creamy moisturizer. Not an expensive watered down version. Maybe I'm missing something because I do understand this is supposed to be a great brand, but I don't care about all that pretentiousness, it simply doesn't work for me.

Not your usual lotion
The bottle is so pretty! Even though it has your typical lotion smell, it also has a light hint of fragrance. Not overpowering at all. After an hour or so on my skin, all I smell is the lotion, like an unscented lotion, no fragrance. The lotion itself is not the thick white cream I typically think of as lotion. It is a clear, watery liquid that slipped through my fingers before I could put it on my elbows. I had to pour it in my palm to hang on to it.Once applied it does moisturize and it does not feel greasy. However, it does feel sticky for about 15 minutes until it fully dries; I do not care for the stickiness at all. But, once it dries it feels nice.
