I was surprised by the price and even more surprised the quality of the blades and amount of replacement blades this item comes with. I'm into taxidermy and the skife knife by itself sold through other companies is $10 by itself and only comes with one blade. I like the fit and finish on this product, it seems quality. I'm in the process of using the skiver now and it works great. I recommend this product.

Great value for money. Not pro quality but fine for a hobbyist. Seem very sturdy. They included my favorite little inch/centimeter steel ruler in the kit. I use it ALL the time and I'm glad to have a backup, one for my desk and one for my tool kit.

I have used each of the tools since receiving them, with varying results:1) The flat blade needed a bit of stropping. While it was sharp, it would not glide easily through the 3 Oz veg tan cow hide, as it should. After a bit of strop, it does a much better job. I am anxious to see how well/long it holds the edge under normal use. That handle is well sized/shaped and fits my hand well (your mileage may vary, of course).2) The safety beveler is amazingly safe for the cow hide - it don't leave a mark on it. Comparing it to a similar model from another tool maker, it appears the blade angle is not set properly compared to the leading edge of the tool, so the blade does not have enough of a bite to do anything. I will probably adjust this manually when I have time.3) The "super skiver" does an amazingly good job. I used it along with a similar device "from a different maker" that cost more than this whole set...and could not tell the difference between the two. EXCELLENT TOOL.4) The craft knife works very well. The handle is a slightly smaller diameter than other similar tools, but the grip is comfortable and does not slip. I was able to cut 3oz leather in a single pass, included smooth curves. Very pleased.5) The rule does have some sharp edges...in fact, before I sharpened the flat blade knife, I used the end of the ruler to due to trimming...no joke...be sure to smooth down that sharp edge. The ruler is a great size for "small jobs", when my 18" ruler is unwieldy, and even a 12" ruler take a bit too much room (8" is a great size for working on wallets).Overall, this is a good tool set at this price. Any cutting tool will need sharpening at some point, so I don't fault the manufacturer for that...the blades have clean edges, and just needed a littleclean up" before use. The only disappointment is the safety beveler, which could have a better angle out of the box (maybe the one I received is a manufacturing defect?), but at this price, I will take the time to fix it. Definitely recommended for a starter kit.

The wooden handle skiver knife works well. The others don’t work well on finished leather. Blades aren’t sharp enough. The scalpel looking one works ok on certain things, but the other 2 I have found to be useless so far. Still ok for the price

Each tool comes with a set of replacement blades. Carefully packaged. Has safety guards for every tool. Zippered case is of high quality. Excellent price. Tools are well made and are crafted with precision. These are the best tools I have seen in some time. Well worth the price paid, which was extremely reasonable.

Of the stultifyingly confusing, screamingly annoying, bewildering array of mystifyingly named companies’ products with suspicious reviews…I hit the jackpot. This stuff is great!The metal casting is well machined and finished in the main skiver I needed. The rest of the implements are good quality.

If you bought all these separately, it would cost a lot more.

Tools are decent some were a bit flimsy.
