Q: I have a Black and Decker Lithium LDX172 7.2 V Drill. Since the description listed this item as 12 V, does that mean it won't work?

The replacement charger works fine for the drill. I have had no problems with it.

I used it for the black and decker LDX172 .iAM NOT SURE WHAT A 9089 DRILL IS. WHAT IS THE BRAND ? WHAT DOES THE HOLE FOR THE CHARGER LOOK LIKE?

I bought this for an old BD screwdriver (had lost the original charger). This is the same as the original and works fine.

Though not specially for a cordless drill it works!

I had taken a picture of the button of my grand daughter's cordless drill to try and find the charger that was lost through many moves. I ordered this one according to the serial number. Though the description didn't specify a cordless drill it was, in fact, the correct charger for the drill. She tells me" it now works great".

Charger didn't work on my LDX172 model

After reading mixed reviews on whether or not this charger would work on the LDX172 model, I decided to take a chance and just order it. I even made sure the charger part number matched what's on the drill (90593304). I plugged it in and let it sit for about 10 hours (the drill was blinking red) and it didn't charge it at all. I'm a little bummed that it didn't work on my drill and that I need to buy a whole new power drill but it is what it is.
