Wolverine Overpass 6" Mid Composite Toe Waterproof Work Boot

I work with heavy construction materials in a warehouse and they do their job very well. The nonslip qualities of the soles works as it should, even on grease on an already smooth floor. The composit toe has already saved my toes many times from having to file for workman's comp...took an H block from 4 feet up in a direct hit and is still intact and protecting my toes. They're just the right height to allow me to bend and flex my ankles ane soles are flexible enough to allow me to kneel comfortably.The inside of the shoe is a bit hard so I bought some nice cushy insoles but that was the only partial complaint I have and it is easily solved.Also the ones I ordered match my company colors so my coworkers keep complimenting me on them.I also hike and boulder on occasion and I will say this, if you're buying these for that purpose...don't. Yes they are bendy bendy but not enough toake climbing on rocks safe. Yes they are comfortable, but not an hours long hike in 100+°F heat comfortable.And while breaking these in, I would recommend wearing semi thick socks as the seams inside are designed to wear during that process and you will get blisters if your socks are to thin.Overall great workboots.

The media could not be loaded. These boots are heavy and built well.Hard sole forces your feet straight.I feel like I have permanent nerve damage in my left big toe. When I put on socks and point my toes into the sock, I experience an agonizing pain on the outside of my toe. That’s the only time I feel it. I don’t see a mark but I believe it is the back of the toe armor cup that causes the damage.I suppose the way I walk has a bit to do with the hard soles and difficulty for me to break them in.They feel strong and built well. They are waterproof for what I need them to be waterproof from. My feet stay dry even though the boot gets wet.The laces stay tied without double knotting them.Because of the pain I suffer in my toe, 4 stars.

good buy & fit

Purchased these boots based on good reviews. I’ve had them about two weeks so can’t comment on the long term durability, but so far so good. After wearing these daily for work, I find them very comfortable and light enough not to feel cumbersome. After wearing them all day I haven’t found myself just dying to take them off, so that’s saying something! I have a dirty job and I often find myself in wet muddy situations and my feet have stayed dry. They also clean up really well and still look almost new after several washing with water and a bristle brush. If they hold up well, I plan on buying another pair.

This is my husbands second pair. He works at an airport and walks on the hot tarmac all day and they hold up well.

Barely lasted a year. Ate right through the outter sole. Toe cap separated on both pairs.

I try to write positive reviews as well as bad ones when I can. I do not steer one way or the other. So when something I have paid good money for, something that I was hoping to get more then 6 months worth out of, craps out early. I get slightly upset.These are one of those times.Now maybe it was just the luck of the draw. Maybe it was fate. I am not pointing fingers and am only stating the facts. I have had the boots for almost six months. They have performed, up to this point, admirably. But alas, times have a changed. The point where I bend at the ball of my feet. Lets say you are Kneeling down without your knees touching the ground. Like you are about to #2 on a camping trip. One where there isnt a port a potty near. And you are full on flapping in the wind. So that place on the sole of the boot that you are using for balance. There is where it has cracked. I, as a plumber for most of my life, am in this precarious position quite often. So maybe it was that I am using the boot in a manner that it wasnt designed for. Squatting it seems, is this boots Kryptonite. For me at least. Your results might vary.In the end I will be looking for a different brand next time. Sorry Wolverine, you were just not as relentless or hardy as the name suggest. Maybe its time for a name change.
