Use this in my tortoise box .. good quality and makes cleaning easy ... good value for money.

Good price and clumps well when soiled making cleaning a specific area easy, rather than having to replace the whole enclosure so we can just clean and top up.

I have changed my review.when you first put this in it smells so bad.it stinks but after 2-3 days you cant smell it no longer. I have been using tortoise terrain soil but I found that is so dusty when you clean the table it end up up your nose and everywhere.this stuff is not dusty so is great that way.looks clean too.

I used to buy the big brands grass pellet substrate from your high street pet shops, but got caught short when I could not get out of the house. Thought I would give this a try instead. Very pleased it is just as good as the stuff I usually buy and this is a few pounds less for the same amount. Will definitely buy this from now on unless the price goes up.

I do like this substrate but had to stop buying it online as when it was coming the bags where open and it was all over the box there was white stuff mixed in with the substrate and didn’t want to use it incase it harmed my tortoise. I still use this as it is easy to clean and leaves no odour I just drive to the exotic pet shop to get it now.

My tort did not like this at first but is now used to it. My desert tort needs very low humidity so I couldn’t water spray his original soil/sand substitute to eliminate the dust without risking shell rot. These straw pellets are dry, dust free allowing my tort to dig in just like a basic soil/sand substrate. For my tort’s needs they are perfect.

Have tried to purchase in a local store which is always out of stock. In the future I will order this way to avoid wasted journeys.
