This is a great landline to have when you have no electricity. One thing for sure is you'll have contact to the outside world.

If you need a relatively inexpensive landline phone this is the one for you, reception is clear the volume control for the hearing piece is great, I also like the illuminated keypad.

Most of you aren't old enough to remember the old black phones. The kind that were heavy and damn near indestructible. Well these aren't heavy, but I can't tell you how many times my phone has hit the floor from a height of about three and a half feet, and it still works. This phone has gotten abuse, and it still works. I'm hearing impaired and it helps so much. I like it so much that I got one for my godmother and one for my daddy. I really recommend it. Simple and easy to use phone without a lot of complications, but I can't give it a 5 star. The most important thing for a phone is voice quality, and this could be better. The sound is a little tinny. I would gladly have paid more for a phone like this with excellent, high fidelity sound. I don't need a bunch of gadget features on the phone. My priority is good audio listening and speaking quality. But, it serves my purpose, so I will keep it.

I had a trimline for decades but it was starting to cause static when I used it. I expected this one to be similar.Nope.The sound is clear. But this phone is much larger & hard to handle. It is unwieldy and the buttons hard to see even tho they are big.If it wasn't so big it would be a great corded phone.
