At last a Drain basket that I don't have to wrestle with to either stopper the drain or to easily get the water to quickly drain. The design would make it more manageable for those with difficulties in their hands (i.e. Arthritis, etc...) to use.The gold color looks great with the black KRAUS sink & matches the Delta Champagne Bronze faucet assembly & glass cleaner.

Had for about 4 months and the black is chipping!!!!

This product seems well built, and I like the design how you are able to screw it in a little bit just to prevent it from moving around too much, or screw it all the way in to act as a stopper and plug the sink drain. However, I noticed that a little water does collect in the pan/circle at the base of the strainer (the part that is used to plug the sink when you screw if all the way down/in). Since this is stainless steel, I don’t expect that little bit of standing water to cause any issues, but still a potential design flaw.

Great product, comes with all your needs. You supply the tools. Next, the instructions are not correct for only 1 step and if you are new to the DIY or plumbing trade you could follow them and installation will be incorrect. Not a huge deal but do note the rubber gasket goes under the sink and not between the lip of the strainer to the sink drain top. So you should add a light ring of rolled plumber’s putty, align and lower the strainer in. From the bottom, 1st rubber gasket to sink button, paper gasket follows to be under the rubber gasket and then the threaded lock ring. The paper gasket should be sandwiched between the rubber gasket and the metal, threaded lock ring. Paper gasket should not be making contact with the sink. That’s all, other than that I liked it and will enjoy the product. Do, please read the paper instructions and do not use harsh chemicals to clean your sink. It will damage the finish and peel.
