Good balance of clover mix
My wife and I argue about clover honey color and flavor. I judge true clover must be blond in color and very mild in smell. My wife is more tolerant to slightly darker color and stronger smell. This is closer to my wife's criterian but I did enjoy it just the same.

Overpriced
I purchased not realizing the bottle was small considering how overpriced this line is. I won’t make that mistake again.

Much better than Nate's
These are the two "normal" brands of honey in my local stores, aside from generic store brands and the exotics, so I thought I'd compare them. I know there's been some talk about Nate's being processed at high temperatures, but it seems that lawsuit didn't go anywhere. Anyway, it appears these brands are pretty much agreed to be real honey, not corn syrup with honey flavor. So, assuming I'm actually tasting honey here, which is best? Local Hive, hands down. It has the kind of viscous texture you expect, and absolutely prototypical honey taste, very nice. It's not as good as Tupelo, what is, but I'd very happy eating this. Nates? Nowhere near as good, it's darker, the texture is thinner, and there's an odd bitter aftertaste. Nate's is not what my tongue reads as honey, it's something else, and not very good. In fact, I threw it away, I saw no point in having it around. So that's it, I don't need to look any further, expect maybe to try different types. Is there really a distinction between Local Hive "clover" honey and "orange blossom" honey? I'll find out I guess.Ed: No need to guess, I tried the "orange blossom" and the "socal" varieties, and they were roughly the same, maybe the "socal" had a stronger flavor. But all were the right viscosity and mouth feel, honey defined.

Broken lids
Just ordered 2 bottles of this honey and BOTH OF THEM had broken lids! Cracked right off. No way to seal them.
