I wrote this review mainly just to say why it might not work after 1 press.
First off I think it's great for its intended purpose. It wasn't intended to work with Alexa or anything else. It's intended to work with Govee's own devices only so that's how I rated it. Response time is pretty fast despite being bluetooth. No clue about battery life since I've only had it for a few days but I have high hopes it'll be good. But anyways, why do some people need to press it more than once? I'm not saying all, but for some people this might be the reason why it's happening. When you create an automation with this, there is no toggle option. All you get is on and off. But you do have another option called "Alternate Mode". Meaning the button press will always do the opposite of what it did before. For example if you press it to turn something on, but later use Alexa of Google to turn it off, the next button press will be off because the last button press was to turn it on. The button doesn't know the status of the device. It will always just alternate between on and off. I realized this when I was testing it with both the button and voice assistants. So keep that in mind if it takes more than one press to turn it on or off. It might be because you used a different method before using the button again.

Okay product, good value
Ive used several Govee products this is the only one that falls pretty short. It does exactly what it's supposed to do but doesn't always work. As an example I have about 4 recessed lights that are attached to one switch for my living room. Sometimes you have to press the button multiple times for it to work or when you press the button it's pretty delayed as well as all lights turn on at different times.

GoveeLife Wireless Mini Smart Button requires a hub
You need a hub, and supposedly, several of their lights can be hubs. I own a few of them, but the app doesn't recognize them as hub-compatible even though their documentation states they are, so I cannot use this product. I tried reaching out to support, but they never responded. It's a shame because I really do like their products and in the past their support was quick and responsive.

Works as described, very easy setup!
Not sure what all of these other reviewers are complaining about? It took me 30 seconds to connect the button to the app and another 30 seconds to select 6 devices (2 LED strips, 2 smart bulbs, and 2 plugs), all set up with this button; it worked the first time and every time after that with no issues.Tips and Tricks:Open the back of the button and remove the plastic piece, preventing the battery from making contact in shipping. The “If” section is for “when the button is pressed.”The “Then” section is what devices you want to control with the push of the button and what you want that device to do when the button is clicked. The “Delayed” section is if you want to set up timing delays for the “Then” section items. The “Alternate Mode” is if you want the button to do the opposite of what it did on the first press for the second press. For example, the first press will turn the lights on, and the next press will turn them off.Once again, I had no idea what the struggle was for everyone else.
