Anchovy paste has more uses than you'd think and this product is very good.
I even threw it in some bland tuna salad to wake it up and Voila - It did

Best around
I love this paste. I use it foe homemade Caeser salad dressing. I cant find it at my grocery store so I'm glad they have it here. It's rich and salty just as it should be.

Pleasant experience
Arrived with no damage. The tubes are sealed from factory. You use the end of the cap to puncture the seal like a tube of ointment. No really foul odor or taste. No upset stomach. Used it with puttanesca sauce that I purchased here. Made spaghetti with Barilla Angel hair pasta and ground beef. The anchovies paste tubes are stored in the fridge.

Pungent, unattractive, and a shelf life longer than the average human lifespan
Hard to find in your local food market, but necessary for things like Ma's Caesar salad dressing, the umami undertone you want in your Sunday meatloaf or meatballs, or a variety of incidental "you know what this needs?" moments in the kitchen. A tube kept in the fridge will probably last until the next millenium, if you use it sparingly. For a cool (cruel?) practical joke, make a faux toothpaste wrapper for it and slip it in the guest bathroom.

Crises Averted!
We have a Caesar salad with our homemade spicy dressing at least 5 nights a week. When the pandemic hit we discovered that a lot of other folks must do so as well since the grocery store was completely sold out of anchovy paste, not to mention garlic too. To all the 'purists' out there I know I am supposed to use whole anchovies and pound them to a paste, but that is too much work not the most pleasant of kitchen fragrances. Also, it won't keep very long. In any case when I switched over to using the paste, neither of us could tell the difference, probably because we use a number of non-mainstream ingredients in our dressing. But I digress... Ordered this brand of anchovy paste on-line and although it was initially backlogged, it arrived right before it was time to whip up a new batch. It is good of quality and texture and I am going to continue buying this from amazon rather than return to purchasing in the store. When I open the 2nd tube I know it is time fro me to place an order. And what a quinky-dink, as I am finishing this review my wife stuck here head in the office to tell me I need to whip up a batch soon. Paraphrasing Mighty Mouse" There I go to save the day!

Better than I Expected
These have earned a place in my pantry. They were delivered on time, with more than a year of remaining 'Use By..." time. Very easy to add a dab of flavor to our made from scratch pizza at home or to a Caesar salad by adding thin stripes of the paste to the inside of the spines of the Romaine salad leaves simulating the taste of whole sardines. Do not have to keep open cans of sardines in the refrigerator. The flavor seems just a tiny bit muted compared to whole sardines in a can, but I did not do a direct comparison, just from memory. Very easy to control the amount of flavor you are adding.

Good stuff
My local store stopped stocking this stuff, so I get it on Amazon. It's a key ingredient in the pizza sauce I make every week, so I like to make sure I have a bit extra on hand. Price is fine, but with a specialty ingredient like this, the main thing is actually HAVING it in stock, which Amazon does.

RANCID
So I used one tube and stored the other in a dark, cool, dry cupboard where my spices are.. it was UNOPENED, 2 months later I go to use it and it's bursted open and sizzling. Disgusting. I will never buy this again. Do not trust whatever they are doing.
