The coverage when ffilling an area is smooth
I love the large range of colors-I have been using them for coloring my mandalas and the results are lovely. They have a flexible tip which provides smooth coverage. When they dry they do not have the streaky look of some markers but rather a smooth color. I own both this set and several of the fine point pens as well- which are great to use to add details to drawings. All the pink areas in this photo are using these stabilo fibre tip pens.

Nice assortment of colors to complement my Faber-Castell Pitt set
I got this set because my Faber-Castell Pitt set of 60 pens is a little limited in some red and pink shades. In addition to gaining those colors, this set also has a nice range of cold greys, including Cold Grey II, which is not available with F-B pens. When using both pens, it's not possible to tell the inks from the two sets apart - the Stabilos are just as dense and saturated as the F-Bs. This set alone could be used to create richly-colored drawings, though by itself it is somewhat limited. There are no Warm Greys, and having only numbers without color names is a little annoying, but I make color charts for all my drawing media and it's not terribly hard to figure out the colors, especially if you have a another set that's labeled. The colors are consistent with other brands - scarlet is scarlet - but Stabilo is an excellent company and this is as expected.I use my pens for pen and ink drawings, and I stroke I use the most is stipple. The points of these pens hold up very well to being using to tap out thousands of dots. I thought that perhaps the thin barrels might be uncomfortable to hold while stippling (I've had thumb surgery twice and it no longer works quite right), but I've been pleasantly surprised that are pretty comfortable.

Great colors
Box of 40. Good color saturation, don’t bleed through like markers. Not too many pastels. Just as hoped.

Great for coloring....
I am a fiend when it comes to coloring. I had to try these out in addition to my Sharpie Super Fine and my set of Tombo. I like these but wish they came in more of the colors I tend to use most often.

Exceptional quality and very versatile
I cannot say enough good things about these pens! I LOVE to color (I'd like to disclaim that I discovered therapeutic coloring before it became trendy). These pens are great because they have a nice fine tip for the intricate designs, but they also are thick enough to cover larger areas. The coloring never looks streaky, and these pens seem to last forever. Sometimes felt tips can have little strands that start coming off the tips and making unintentional marks, but these are really high quality and I have never had this problem.I imagine these pens would be great for artists too, since they are exceptional quality and very versatile. My only complaint is that the variety of colors tends to be on the darker side. For example, in the purples, there is no light violet color, just a few really dark purples. I feel this is a gap, and I wish there would have been more of a range of purples.

Nice set
This was a gift for my 11 year old granddaughter. She's having fun with them and the "grown up" coloring books. No complaints.
