The Vocabulary Guide to Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic: Second Edition
N**7
Vocabulary with expanded definitions, vowels for pronunciation, grammar references
I use this lexicon for use in learning Hebrew for use in a largely Hebrew speaking environment. My interest in the Bible in Hebrew is secondary, but my ability to use Hebrew is an everyday use. When i get on the bus; when I work and talk with customers; when I buy things; when I go to the doctor; all of lifes basic uses and then also with studying the Hebrew Bible. I understand that this is a lexicon for Biblical Hebrew, but with the expanded definitions this lexicon does a world of good in expanding my understanding of Hebrew that I can then use anywhere - even today.

Great Simple Resource
This is a basic vocabulary guide. It is simple and concise. It is great for the beginning Hebrew or Aramaic language student. A great resource for any library.

Printed on Cheap Newsprint
I was so disappointed to receive the second edition only to find that it's printed on the cheapest possible paper. This is not a quality reference book but a cheap pulp paperback (that should cost a lot less). The material deserves better.

Not worth the price
Words are listed according to their frequency in the Bible. It is of no value if you are looking for a particular word in Hebrew. Not worth the price.

Damaged book with tons of creases and folds
If you are trying to learn Hebrew and Arabic, I would not reccomend to new learners that does not know how to read in the language and need it in English. Also recieved the book completely damaged. Cover has tons of creases and damages to it.

Very interesting
I'm interested in learning Biblical Hebrew so I can read the Bible in it's original language and context, which I think is a common reason :) I'm also starting on Aramaic now too, since its supplied with this nice book. I've also heard Aramaic was Jesus spoken language on Earth, so its special :)!...This book has a lot of vocabulary, which is good. No pronunciation, so I'm learning the vocab along side YouTube videos for pronunciation. Also, an intriguing thing I'm picking up...I found a separate book years ago that said Japanese came from Hebrew. I thought this was a joke, as everyone knows it came from Chinese. But looking at the similarities between Japanese and Hebrew, it doesn't seem so farfetched anymore...hmmm..so I've heard that Hebrew was one of the first languages on earth, then according to the Tower of Babel, people branched off. Then I guess Chinese written language was formed? Then Japanese :) Hopefully I haven't strayed too far from the topic review....its just interesting:) ...
