Affordable and easy to hydrate.
I realized I never wrote a review for this product and it only just now struck me when I saw it on my "buy it again" list. Absolutely fantastic moss! Very easy to use, my orchid adores it, great cheap option for that matter.

Home Depot doesn’t carry it anymore
I used to get this from home depot but since 2020 I havent seen it in store. This is my go to sphagnum moss for any projects that need moss! Will be buying about 4-5 bags soon to make my own moss poles!

Good but less than advertised
Good quality, but it is only around 150 cubic inches, not 190 as advertised. The plastic package is significantly larger than the moss "brick". Maybe it gets to 190 when moist? In that case, it should say so.

The only orchid moss I will buy
This is the only brand of orchid Moss I buy! It does a great job My orchids are very happy and thriving. The moss alone doesn't do it you have to know what they want and as far as sun and water goes. But if you have those other things down pat and you use this moss your orchids will be very happy

High quality sphagnum moss
Loosely packed in 2 small bales. For my needs it's enough but it's not a huge amount. Not alot of debris from what I've used so far. Excellent for propagation of houseplant cuttings. No mold issues and that's a plus for my use.

My Plants are Happy!
I had spent a long time trying to develop new seedlings and was failing miserably. I'm delighted I tried using Sphagnum moss as suggested by a buddy who works at a plant nursery! Sphagnum moss has changed my life. I cultivate a lot of tropical plants here in Florida, and this stuff is amazing. It has significantly improved things, however there are a few more things that can be done. Before diving into planting, take a moment to inspect the moss: Examine the moss for debris for a moment before planting; it's similar to checking your vegetables before cooking. After that, thoroughly soak it in water to rehydrate it and make it ready for your plants. A fast soak in a weak bleach solution and a vigorous rinsing will eradicate any bothersome plant germs. Take out as much water as possible to leave it slightly damp, not dripping. If you're feeling particularly adventurous, you can change the pH to a level that's ideal for your plants by adding some lime or vinegar. Drainage and nutrient retention can also be improved by combining the moss with different media like as vermiculite or perlite.Lastly, ensure that your containers are ready and remember to name everything. I promise it's not as fun as later on when you have to guess which plants are which! I can't say enough good things about sphagnum moss—especially for those who are having trouble growing young plants in humid climates like Florida—as it has significantly improved my plant game.

Great Product
Better-Gro 50450 Premium Grade Moss has been an excellent choice for my orchids, ferns, and hostas. This 100% natural sphagnum moss provides optimal moisture retention and aeration, which are essential for healthy root development. It’s easy to work with and perfect for repotting or propagating plants, as well as for use in hanging baskets. The tan color adds a natural look to any pot or garden setup. The 190 cu. in size is generous and lasts a long time. I’m very satisfied with this product and highly recommend it for anyone looking to boost plant health and aesthetics.
