Blagdon Amphibious IQ Energy Saving Pond Pump, for Fountain & Waterfall, Run Dry Protection, Adjustable Power & Flow, 2250-4500 Standard Pond,Black

I have an above ground pond so my UV and filter is housed about 3ft off the ground in a small shed. My filter is an upflow filter - a clear tube approx 110mm diameter x 1200mm tall, this is followed with an Eazy pod. The UV unit is approx 600mm long and the pump is at ground level some 3000mm away. The pipework is mainly 40mm solid with the occasional rubber flexi connector. At minimum setting (15w), the pump struggles to push water through the whole system when starting afresh so I tend to prime the system on maximum setting (25w). Once flowing, I can reduce the setting to minimum for continuous running, this also allows for maximum 'hang' time of anything passing through the vertical UV which, judging by the colour of my filter media (K+) works really effectively. The pond is in full sun with no shade and the water is very clear so the whole system is working a treat and the pump is obviously doing a great job of pulling everything out of the pond that shouldn't be in there.

Clasps are difficult to open. However that is the only downside. Easy to jet wash clean without opening. Adjustable wattage is a great feature. Very pleased .

I had a problem with my first pump.However the pump was exchanged the next day.excellent service.the ability to change the wattage is a great idea. Especially as the season change s and the use of pump can be altered allowing for less elet.

Had a few pumps over the year some good some not so good but what l like about this pump is l can control everything without getting my hands wet 👍 easy to regulate from a digital control unit dropping power consumption down to 30w but still giving out a lot of pressure to To run my water feature sooo pleased outstanding quality outstanding price

Nice looking unit & easy to install. I have a dedicated Pond circuit installed however the pump still trips the RCD Protector. Had a new Earth protection system installed but this hasn't fixed the issue. Had the Pump now for over a Year whilst waiting for electrician so unable to return item. If you want a £200 paperweight then this is the one to buy.

My last Bladgon amphibious pump lasted 33 years running 24/7.Recently with running costs being high i decided to switch to this one. Running cost is ne less the half going from 105watts per hour to 17 watts per hour. And also more powerful.

Really well build pump - quality is obvious when opening the box and a super neat bit of pond kit. We did struggle a bit trying to open the housing to get to the filter sponge and decided we’d leave trying to do that until we actually needed to. 😉Been running great for a good few months now and my husband loves the control box feature!
