AMAZING
I was both surprised and impressed by this little remote. It works perfectly with my Frigidaire LRA087AT7 air conditioner. Super simple to program (I wrote the code on the back in case I ever need to reprogram it), I got it to sync up with my AC with the first code. The remote is the perfect size - no bigger than it needs to be, but not so small as to become difficult to manipulate or easily misplaced - it fits nicely in the palm of my hand. All of the functions seem to work, not just basics like on/off and fan speed, but also temperature control, mode, even sleep and timer - it's all functional. I will note that the "SLOW/MED/FAST" fan speed buttons don't work exactly as laid out on the remote - "SLOW" lowers the speed and "FAST" increases it, while "MED" (on my AC) actually switches the mode to "fan only"... just a little quirk; doesn't bother me. The battery is included, and it conveniently has a magnet on the back. Overall, you can't beat the price ($9.99) for a remote that is as good as, if not better than the one that came with the unit. Go ahead and buy it.

Easy setup and great use
I was afraid that my AC unit would be too old to use for this, but it worked like a charm. If you are having trouble getting it to work, try making sure you step in front of the AC. When I first came into my apartment, the AC unit had apparently been missing the remote for years. When I set up the remote initially, I was sad that it wasn't working. But after taking a few steps back (yes back), the remote worked!

BUTTONS ARE NOT DOING WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO
For e.g. if i press the sleep button it changes the mode, if i press the button to change the speed it also changes the mode and then when i click the mode button it changes the speed, mode and turns on ECO. Can’t even adjust the temperature because it takes it off cool and change it to auto when i press the temperature control button.

A Decent Replacement.
I bought this for a 12,000 btu Arctic King AC that was a year old that a neighbor was selling. Great deal on AC, but he had lost the remote. An exact replacement was almost $20, but trying to be cheap, I went with this one instead. It would not program using either of the codes provided for this brand, but there is an option to let this remote attempt to make contact. This worked for me.This remote works all the needed functions on my AC. But like almost all generic replacement remotes, it won’t match the quality (in most cases) or the functionality of the remote provided originally with your unit. Here, some buttons are not labeled for correct functions on a few things. Other buttons work as labeled. While this would be highly annoying on, say, a tv remote, Here it’s just an AC remote, it’s easy enough to figure out without ruining your life. For me, it works to the point I am not remorseful that I did not splurge for an original replacement. If that’s all you need, this is recommended. It also comes with a battery. This is great, because it is one of those flat round ones that while not usually hard to find, chances are you won’t have one just kicking around your house.

If your brand code doesn't work, try the other codes in the book for other brands!
Works as advertised. I have an older Friedrich wall unit in my house that's buttons hadn't worked for quite some time or you'd have to hit them over and over till they would work. I purchased this in hopes it would solve my problem as it had been stuck on the same temp and fan speed for awhile. After receiving the remote and reading the manual I tried all the codes that they had listed for Friedrich. None of them worked. Ok, so I know some people may have just given up there and returned the remote and written a 1 star review but I decided to try the other codes in the manual. I started at A and finally down at letter C at some brand I had never heard before I had changed the temperature with the remote! Was it annoying I had to go through the codes to find the right one, sure, but does the remote work well and save me a headache of an AC stuck on the same temp and fan speed, yes. So if the codes you have for your brand aren't working, try other codes! I hope this helps someone who has the same problem as me.

$7 remote works for old Frigidaire window unit!
Fantastic deal for nice remote with magnetic back. Highly recommend! Within minutes of opening the package I had the remote programmed for Frigidaire: Hold the SETUP button at top right until the red light stays steady, enter the appropriate 4 digit code for your model (in my case 1654), the red light goes out and you're ready to rumble. There is a leaflet in the packaging that has the codes for the various brands - for Frigidaire there was the one that I used, and an alternate 1688. There is also a method for having the remote search for the correct code but I didn't have to use that. A good idea shared in another review suggested writing the code on the back of the remote with a Sharpie, so you can ditch the packaging.Although the remote comes with the required 2 CR2032 coin batteries, these must have been old/dying as the remote would not hold the programming and needed to be redone every day. I changed the batteries, problem solved. If you don't have these batteries on hand, order a pair for less than $3 here on Amazon or pick up at your local hardware or Wal**** store.

Easy setup
I was sceptical but this little remote works perfectly with our Kenmore A/C. One four digit code and all functions work like the original! UPDATE: Downgrading my review to three stars because the included battery was dead. Worked great when I set it up standing in from of the AC unit. But stepping back to only six feet away and it stopped working. A test of the included battery revealed that it was only putting out 1.2 volts. So add to the price the $5 cost of a new battery.
