Great supplemental lighting for houseplants
I bought this light to give some additional lighting for my Calatheas and other "bright indirect light" loving houseplants. They were doing OK next to this north facing window but not really thriving. At first I thought this grow light might be too bright for them but they have thrived and put on so much new growth in the last month or so they have been under this light. Their color intensity has also increased. I don't think this would be bright enough for the true high light requiring house plants unless they were practically touching the fixture or if you had multiple ones lined up next to each other above that plant, but for my low/medium light needing plants this is perfect.Using a simple light meter on my phone, the light next to this North facing window was only about a 125 foot candles 6 inches away from the center of the window at noon. Now with this grow light it's around 550 foot candles measured 12 inches below the light. The fixture itself is barely warm to the touch even after being on all day and doesn't seem to put out much of any heat below it that's bothering my plants. I like to rotate my houseplants each week so different plants get to sit directly under this light. I figure that way there is less risk of burning them plus I just haven't gotten around to buying additional grow lights yet.My only small gripe with this unit is that the power cord seems rather short, it's only about 3' long so there is no way to plug it in directly to my wall outlets. I had to use an extension cord. Cool thing is you can connect multiple units ( up to 8) to one another because there is a outlet on the side of the fixture itself. It is not a particularly fancy looking light, but it isn't so ugly that I am ashamed to have it downstairs where everyone sees them. It is white, plain and super easy to set up. Just attach the included chains, attach it to whatever hook or hanging implement you are planning on using, plug it in, and turn it on.I am planning on purchasing a few more of these fixtures in the future for a few other spots in my house that don't get much natural light.

Powerful and long lasting
This thing is bright! I bought two for the size of my plant window but honestly could have gotten away with one. It's durable, good quality, and my plants seem to like it a lot.

Great for microgreens
Been growing micro-greens for a while. Just bought two more of these lights. Total of three now. They will plug together in series so you only need one timer. Very handy. You can also turn them off individually if one is not needed. White light but also has some red led's in there to cover that spectrum if needed. Metal housing, not plastic. Worth the money IMO.

Great light if you can get them at the right price
I have used these for my seed starting and as supplement light for plants in dark corners of the house. They work great. The light is very natural looking and easy on the eye, which is why we use them around the house. However, if you are going to do a dedicated grow area, like in a tent, or something, you could get much better lighting for a bit more money. I have seen these sell for as much as 72$ at Lowe's. There is no way I would pay that when I could get a Viperspectra for 30$ more, that would support a much larger area than 2 of these will. That being said, if you can get it in the 40$> range . They are perfect for a few plants on a shelf

Small, lightweight, effective
As other reviewers mentioned, there are two outputs - 72 and 61. I received one of each. I originally thought I would want two, but I am good with one (keeping the 72). I have the unit hanging from a shelf by command hooks. It is lightweight enough for those to hold and they will be removable. My herbs love it and are thriving - the natural light through the windows was not enough and this light gives them the extra they need.Although the item description is not completely as advertised, what I am using works very well and I am happy with my purchase.

Great! No heat, and plants are already growing straight upwards!
Great! Just what I was looking for. Had a busted under counter ballast unit, and have wanted to grow plants in my dark and tiny townhome for some time. Knew I needed LED not just for energy savings, but primarily bc of the heat traditional grow lights give off. Major fire hazard. Needed something slim and cool. Became hard to find! Found the GE LED grow lights, bit wasn't sure I'd be able to hardwire to my existing switch. Saw on Lowes.com they listed as plug-in/hardwired, so I gave it a chance on Amazon (who had it cheaper). There were no instructions on disassembling it/converting to hardwired, but I figured it out pretty easily. This thing is SUPER bright. Extremely bright. Curious if the LED strips need to be so bare, or if I could place a translucent cover and still perform as a grow light. In the meantime, I'll just hope my plants grow and provide shade!

Finally, fresh basil.
I am using this to grow herbs and lettuce indoors with a deep water hydroponics set up. Size is about 17 gallons. 4 heads of lettuce, 8 basil plants, one oregano, and one thyme, to give an idea of what it is used for. So far this light is great. It Everything is growing well. I left it off for four days and just had window light. My lettuce was very unhappy. So it seems to make a difference. It is not too hot. I do keep a ceiling fan running, more for moving humid air than for heat. I do keep a thermometer handy. It has a switch for power. It is also not very heavy. The plants not directly under it do well. I would get it again if I expand. It has been two months.

Don't last
I bought three lights for a new plant stand to grow seedlings this year. One light worked for three hours and went totally dark. Amazon replaced it. The replacement worked for two weeks and one third of one LED light tube has gone dark. Amazon will not replace this one, but will give me a refund of less than I paid for one of the original three. These are junk. Of the three, only two are working, but for how long, I do not know. Do NOT waste your money. I thought being GE they'd be quality. Sure don't last for 50,000 hours. 50,000 seconds, maybe, but not hours. VERY disappointed., not to mention that the price has almost TRIPLED since the end of January 2022 for the same item.
