Good Quality / Easy To Install
This product worked great for my Nissan Murano Group 24F battery. My old battery had an OEM insulator, but the new battery is bigger. The old insulator does not fit, and there is no OEM replacement, so I bought this kit. The kit includes 40" x 7" insulation, and a 12" x 7" base mat which is a nice addition. I have included pics of both sides of the material. The base mat does not have a reflective side.I did cut the insulation to accommodate for the ears on my battery. For this particular battery which measures approximately 10.5" x 7.0" x 7.4" I cut off about 6" from the length of the insulation, and also cut two indentations for the ears on each side of the battery. This was so the insulation would be completely flush against the battery. I also cut the base mat to form, so it would fit into the battery tray. I would not have to had cut anything to use this product. (Not even for the battery tray.) I only cut to have a more professional look. However make sure the insulation is below the terminals and connectors to avoid any contact so it does not arc. I did test the foil side with a multimeter for continuity, and this will conduct electricity! So make sure not to get this close to the battery contacts. Also, it is dangerous to try and cover the top of the battery with this. So this will need to get cut if the battery is less than 7.0" tall. This is not intended to cover the top.I am very satisfied with how this turned out. The quality seems good. It took a little effort to cut with a box cutter, so it won't wear or tear very easily. I would purchase this product again for my next battery.

For heat, not cold
First, a lot of people are upset that this doesn't work in cold weather...well it shouldn't, its designed to keep the battery protected in HOT environments (summertime/hot engine bay) not to help with any cold situation. Fit fine on my H7 battery but please do note that it can absolutely conduct electricity so trim/tape/fold do whatever to keep the battery cables from touching the foil.

This is really good but be aware
If you using a lithium battery this is definitely a must. But definitely beware or at least think and don’t do what I did. When installed I did not realize that the out side was touching both of the terminals making them connect each other which almost made my vehicle catch fire. Pretty exciting stuff

Battery heat protection
Batteries dont really like being hot. Mine is right next to the turbo manifold. This helps the battery from cooking. It was long enough to where i was able to double it up on the short side of the battery that stares directly at the manifold. I did also tape up the bottom corners with some HVAC foil tape. It does what its supposed to do. The end.

Insulates well and not too bulky - reasonable price.
Does the job. As others have noted because this is a universal product you will have to cut out portions for the terminals and make sure the conductive foil exterior is not touching your cables (I wrapped some rubber insulation where my positive terminal cable drops in front of the battery. Plus they provide a piece of additional insulation (but without the foil) for underneath the battery (also need to cut too fit). Not too bulky which is a good thing as there's not a lot of "empty space" in my engine compartment and the battery still fits in the support brackets just fine with the wrap on (have a 2010 GT 500). Also The wrap is plenty long enough for a standard car or truck battery - I have a larger than normal 700 CCA battery and still had 6" or so to spare that I cut off.

Good, but Doesn't Cover the Top of the Battery
If you see my attached image, please know that this kit does not include a way to cover the top of the battery, despite my attached image. Read below for details. This worked well for wrapping MOST of my Audi S3's battery, but it didn't cover the top or bottom of my battery (except for the non-reflective piece of felt on which the battery sits on the tray). So, I used some additional heat barrier which I already had from a different project (Thermo-Tec 13575) to put a flappy lid on the DE Insulation Kit, as well as putting a piece of it under the felt on the battery tray.Because boosted engines (both turbo and supercharged) generate more heat than normally aspirated engines, and I'm also running a Stage 2 Tune, when my battery recently died unexpectedly, I was worried that the additional heat generated in my engine bay was wearing out my battery prematurely. My other car is a supercharged Jaguar XFR (also tuned), but it has functional hood and fender vents to let the substantial heat escape AND the battery is located in the trunk, where it should be (for both better weight distribution and protection from heat). Unfortunately, Audi, in their infinite wisdom, placed the battery of my S3 very close to my turbo (which thrives on high heat) in the engine compartment.I looked at some type of better engine venting in my S3, but didn't want to cut holes in any of the body or do anything too invasive (I already have an upgraded intercooler, etc.). I also considered relocating my S3 battery into the trunk, but even with the spare tire removed, there didn't seem to be a good place to put it, where it would be somewhat concealed. So, I ultimately settled for this battery insulation kit, as well as adding a Turbo Blanket and wrapping the top section of my downpipe to try to remediate some of the heat damage. I haven't tested before and after battery temps since installing any of it, but I probably should soon, as one of my fears is that this insulation kit might actually be trapping heat inside the kit, rather than letting the battery breathe appropriately. Although, I have no factual scientific basis for questioning the functionality of this kit, other than not including a reflective shield for the top and bottom. If I do test it, I'll edit my review appropriately.
