Really - it happens , it happened to me , and utilizing weak security protocols from my FORMER cell provider , my entire identity was stolen by someone access my phone illegally, one they captured my passcodes via my camera and my information thru 24 / 7 ease-dropping, by the time it was discovered it was too late , I would not dare allow anyone to use a phone in my home , or around me without a mic-block and Camera cover - it works and my hackers tried to disable remotely with no success! I keep extra security keys and covers , that I let people around me use to keep our conversations private , at my house you can leave your phone in your car, or use privacy tools ! Once someone gains access to your camera they can see your passcodes or your s keystroke counter to learn it, in real time I was able to screen record a hacker using my user id and passcode, but once I added the NFC card with a second security key , they could not use the passcode alone, they had to have the physical card and key or it would not allow access. A must have for todays AI -black hat hacker world !!! Your WiFi / router can be easily spoofed and utilized to capture all your household! Cover smart appliances , gadgets and even unused equipment - even if it is powered off wolith a dead battery and passcode protected , a hacker can access you devices , laptops , doorbell , cameras etc , cover any items that have blue tooth , RF or WiFi capabilities , especially unused items that can act like a gateway into your life. Broke in a month even with minimal use and I don’t think it really does the job because I could always hear the microphone even when this device was plugged in so there was no successful testing results. If price was low, may be I would have skipped giving a bad review but for this price, I was expecting it to work and be sturdy.

At this point, everyone knows that our phones are listening to our conversations (and the information about what we say is being sold to third parties). We live in a time when things we say in intimate conversations, or even to our doctors, are not private if our phones are present (the contents of which are sold to advertising companies, or the highest bidder). This is a very big concern for those of us who are smart enough to see it. Not to mention that it is an ethical violation. Unfortunately, the legal system has not confronted this yet. Thank goodness that there are companies like this one who recognize the concern, see the immoral nature of spying on people in this way, and were intelligent enough to create a product to help protect us.I’ve been using their products for several years and think they are wonderful. Yes, occasionally it has stopped working, so I’ve had to plug it in again (though this only takes 2 second and has only happened 3 times in the span of several years, and it always starts working again right away). Over all, the cost is worth it to protect yourself!

Overall, this product works well. I tested in a variety of apps and the voice recorder on iPhone XS. However, I was disappointed when, having forgotten it was plugged in, I said “Hey Siri” and the phone activated. No sound came out, but Siri activated my command so Apple can definitely still hear - it’s not entirely blocked. Thats ok with me because it just reminded me to disable Hey Siri in general, but that should have been made more clear. Again, on everything else I’ve tested, it works perfectly, so it’s still the best I’ve found for the lightening port. But for $25, I’d expect 100% blockage or more transparency. Same deal on iPad and iPhones - Audio is blocked but Siri is not and will need to be disabled.

I secured my Wi-Fi and couldn't figure out how a hacker was charting my comings-and-goings with such precision. I'm former law enforcement and was concerned for my family's safety. Thankfully, the hacker reacted to a comment I made while I was on my router's dashboard. The only way he could've reacted in real-time is by hearing my voice. My solution was to install Mic-Lock on all my PCs, phones and tablets. I have since been very please with its ability to block each item's microphone. Plus, I very much appreciate the quick customer response to service and return issues/questions. Thank you Mic-Lock.

I've owned two of these so far... when they work, they're awesomeThe first one, the lightning jack broke off in my phone.The second one, the audio output stopped working after about a month of use.While the first one that busted was a combination of a design flaw and my fault, the second one failed due to poor construction. --- I'd used the apple brand headphone adapter (same things just without the mic blocking) for over a year and it still works fine.... So build quality is the issue here.Bummed that the 30 day warranty is all they offer. Mine quit working but I didn't get around to trying to get a replacement through amazon until after the 30 days ran out. (To be fair I have not contacted the seller and they are welcome to reach out)I hope the build quality is fixed and it's more durable in the future. Am going to buy a third one
