Expensive, but you get what you pay for!
Great quality. Good strong magnets. I do think they’re a little expensive, but leave a great finish and have proven very useful in keeping our bifold lounge doors closed

Fantastic
Ended up buying more of these after the first set was installed as we were so happy with the result. Initially installed on downstairs and upstairs bathroom doors. Upstairs is next door to our bedroom and my teenage son seems to have no idea of his own strength so much banging of doors ensues. Eventually got tired of it and replaced the standard door handles and latches with these magnetic catches and door pulls. Fitted another set of catches on the downstairs loo for much the same reason. I’m such a fan of the quiet civility these catches have brought to our home that I’ll be replacing all of the door and cupboard latches with these magnetic ones over time. The only thing to bear in mind is that the catch requires a non standard forsner drill bit to fit which Amazon helpfully offers to add to you basket in the ‘buy together’ section of the item page. What annoyed me though was the catch was on prime but the bit wasn’t and that took nearly a week after the catch to arrive. This is where Amazon and it’s algorithms fall down for me. Grrrrrr!

Really good
Very easy to install -- assuming you have the right sized Forstner bit -- be warned that the magnets are super-strong so if you don't keep all the parts separated carefully, they can snap together and this risks chipping the magnet itself, which is made from quite frangible metal. Once assembled in place I don't think this is a problem.I have them in two configurations, one set holding a leaf door in place when it is open and that works really well though it can be tough to prise the doors apart! The other is as a magnetic catch in lieu of a convebtional striker. This works really well, installed slightly offset as recommended, and it not only keeps the door firmly shut, it also gives a nice "soft close" effect as you shut it.Would definitely buy again if I had more doors.

24mm bit not 23
So when the specification says 23-24mm forstner bit I'd say lean towards 24 as it needed some persuasion to fit with the 23.It's a very powerful magnet, I think if you could I'd aim to fit it closer to where the handle is as I'd aimed for the top of the door and it needs a significant amount of pressure to open even with the magnets offset.I'd like to note that I'm not upset by this as it has stopped my kids sliding the doors open so a significant win in my book!

Its only got a PZ1 slot
Very powerful magnet but the heavy duty woodscrew has only a PZ1 screwdriver slot. Far too weak for such a large screw.

Great product, if you want to get rid of door handles!
Does hold door closed, but not enough to stop dog nudging door open, but stops the cats. But being able to have double doors held closed without bolts and use either door, with benefit of easily leaving doors open in nice weather makes them great.Seem expensive for what they are.Easy to install if you have something to cut the correct size hole, a forstner bit worked best even using a hand drill over a spade bit.Have fitted three now, and will fit more round house as doors changed.

Difficult to work with
In principle these are good magnets but when opening the packaging they snapped together and broke under the force of the impact (over only a few mm). This made them useless as they cannot be put back together. Being prepared for this you might be able to avoid it.
