Excellent Customer Service
I had an issue with the knife I received and sent it back to be repaired. The company repaired it, and this is the best knife in my batch of knives. I'm giving it 5 stars due to the excellent customer service and the superior build quality.

EDC for 10+ years
I've had this knife in my pocket for over 10 years. I bought another because I thought I lost it. Found it. New one is still in the box for some day 10 years from now. This has been a great EDC.

this is the third one that I have had.
this is the third one that I have and I really love these, I just lost the others. be aware that opening the blade is stiff because of drag and the release button is overly firm and can be a little difficult. I use some gun oil to help it along. I disassembled this one and smoothed out the bearing faces and reduced the blade hilt so it releases to close with less pressure. This all has made the knife a pleasure to open and work with.

CRKT Endorser - Surprising Little Package!
I am a confirmed knife-knut. Been one for around 20 years. Always liked knives...but started really collecting quality production knives 20 years ago. I generally go for the higher-end blades: Benchmade, Spyderco, SOG, Emerson, etc.But I also have my share of less expensive knives. And this is where Columbia River Knife & Tool step in. CRKT knives use much less expensive steels than the aforementioned. But they prove that you can still make a quality knife & not dip into premium-steel prices.I don't even bother to look up the metal properties of CRKT's. Because I know they are less than stellar. But if you have $30 - $40 to spend on a very good, sharp out of the box blade, look up CRKT. I have found for the last dozen years or so, they fill that bill quite nicely. This particular model, The Endorser is boasting a Beautiful brown/black swirl G-10 handle. G-10 has become a common place material for knife handles on mid to higher end blades. ( Plenty of information on it if you care to learn/Google.)It is smooth, yet retains enough texture to not be slippery in most cases. Black has been the predominant color in this arena.Maybe it's the cop/SWAT/military thing. I'm not certain why basic black is the in-color. But there are beginning to be a lot more colored G-10 handles on the market. I like this! I get tired of "Tactical Black". At work, great. At play, lets have a little personality! The Endorser's color is fantastic! The picture does not do it justice.About 3 1/2 inches long, this knife fits very well in a small to medium sized hand. The clip is not reversible, & provides a tip-down carry in the pocket. Which, for the uninitiated, means that when you pull the clipped knife out of your pocket, you have to manipulate the knife, changing your grip/hold on it, before you can initiate the opening of the blade. If you use your knife frequently, this can be annoying, but on the other side of that coin, if you are a regular pocket knife user, you should be used to this minor annoyance on some of your knives. This knife also features assisted opening. Meaning, to open it, as you push the opening stud down and slightly forward, a spring will kick in, opening the knife rapidly for you. Not an automatic, but very fast and easy opening system. The opening stud is located towards the base/handle of the knife. It's a bit awkward at first, but stick with it for a little bit of practice, & you will probably like it.Again, this or a similar type assisted opening is becoming common place in the knife world, on the more expensive knives generally.CRKT has packed a lot of nice features & aesthetics into a moderately priced knife. The blade opens and is secured with a liner-lock. The blade shape is a drop point design. If you're unfamiliar with these terms and need to know more, again, Google. It would take too much space for me to attempt to explain, & I would only infuriate knife-people with my inadequate verbiage.Finally. Probably the Most important fact when talking about a knife: Is It Sharp?Yes! Razor-sharp-right-out-of-the-box!CRKT is very impressive to me with their sharpness upon arrival. One shouldn't have to sharpen a brand new knife - but it's not that uncommon, believe it or not. Sometimes quality control, I guess, loses control, & some knives are in need of a good sharpening when you take them home. CRKT's are always sharp on purchase. Maybe I have simply had great luck with mine. I'll take that.Modestly priced, this knife is a winner with me. Try one. I'll be very surprised if you are disappointed.

Awesome knife had one and lost it. Had to get another one to replace it because I used it all the time. Sturdy and sharp!

My favorite
Got knife 2 years ago and quickly became my favorite pocket knife. Came sharp out of box. Knife is easy to sharpen and stays sharp. Assist open is the best. Use this knife for everything.

Worth the Blade Show Hype!
I got interested in this as my first assisted-opening knife after it got a lot of attention at the 2013 Blade Show in Atlanta. It's become my favorite EWC (every-weekend carry--I work at a school) knife. The good: in a world of recurves and modified drop points, this one stands out as clean, simple and functional. It's got a decent belly for a little whittlin', needle-sharp point for punching through tape on packages, doesn't feel too bulky or flimsy in the hand, and the teeth on the thumb rest are sharp enough to feel safe but dull enough that you can use them without needing a bandage afterwards. It rides quite low in the pocket, so you don't advertise that you have it with you. The blade comes very sharp, and has been gliding through every task I've set it to.The bad: the belt clip is SUPER tight. Trust me, you'll not be in danger of it falling out, but it's not something you can whip out of your pocket right out of the box. The thumb stud rattles when open, which bothered some folks, presumably with delusions of ninja missions or black ops, but it's due to design, not poor craftsmanship, and doesn't affect the performance at all. Before I got the technique down (flicking it open with the tip of my thumb, not the pad), deploying the blade was a progressively painful experience, so there is a bit of a learning curve for AO newbies like I am.The other: The opening is authoritative; people around you KNOW it's there. The pommel of the knife ends in two rather sharp curves, which I could imagine would make the knife a formidable fist weapon closed, let alone open. The bottom line: Elitists may sneer because it's not made of tool steel, or because it's made overseas, but ultimately it's been a useful and elegant introduction to both CRKT and the assisted-opening market. I'd buy it again, and I urge you to give it a try.
