Another great E-Fong tea
This is pretty much the only manufacturer of chinese herbs I trust. No other brand seems as potent to me. It also helps they are rated for Australia GMP (even though I live in the US) The tea granules must be dissolved in hot water to use - if you try to chew them you will have a gummy mess that sticks to your teeth - so even though it is less convenient to use than capsules of herbs, it just works so much better.I keep this as well as E-Fong Huang Qin in stock at all times. I know nothing about chinese medicine, only the effectiveness of herbs like this by researching the nih.gov website, so have no clue if these really should be taken together as far as heat and cold and such go, but I do know that whenever I think I might be coming down with anything, I take these with a couple other supplements and I am better within hours, no matter the issue. I haven't been sick in many years.Note that Yu Xing Cao, also known as H. cordata, is known to have a fishy smell. I don't really notice it. Like most of the teas like this though, it does not taste good, but I am not drinking it for the flavor.

Tastes okay
Tastes okay but doesn't mix in water very well. I think it works well.

it works well. Smokers friend
Works quickly. I add boiling hot water, one scoop of the herb, some honey, lemon peel, lime juice, you can also add ginger. Taste good. I had a constant cough once i drank it with in minutes i stopped coughing. May not worth that fast for all.Houttuynia cordata (HC) is a medicinal and edible herb with an aromatic smell that has long been used in Asia to treat pneumonia, hypertension, constipation, and hyperglycemia via detoxification, reduction of heat and diuretic action. There is accumulating evidence of multiple pharmaceutical effects of HC, such as anti-cancer (7), anaphylactic inhibitory (8), anti-mutagenic (9), anti-inflammatory (10), anti-allergic (11), anti-oxidative (12), anti-viral (13), anti-bacterial (14), anti-obesity (15), and anti-diabetic (16) activities.
