But at less than 1/3rd the price of its better known competitors, can it possibly be any good?Just like it's rivals, the Polarduck is made predominantly of high grade ABS plastic with an aluminium 360° rotating ball head firmly locked in place by a sprung push button. Total height of the tripod is 18cm and it claims to support loads up to 2kg while weighing less than 200 grams. This is the second one of these tripods I’ve purchased. Still using the first one as a stand for a large Alexa smart speaker. Works really well for that so decided to get another for my phone. Still great quality, still a good price and still like the push button ball head system which is really easy to use. Now the bad bit ! It only just accommodates an iPhone 14 Pro Max 6.7 inch not the width, that’s fine, but the height, the phone is so long it hits the legs of the tripod ! The supplied phone holder just isn’t high enough and if you slide the phone so it is only just in the holder it isn’t quite as stable🫣 One alternative would be to stand it on a pile of books I suppose or maybe fit longer tripod legs? Not so great for video calls and the like, well not unless you like people looking up your nose, so this will almost certainly be the last time I purchase one. A great shame because I really like it.

OK, it's a cheap knock-off of more expensive kit, but it's decent quality and it works well. Handy to throw in my work bag.Holds big modern 2024 phones easily.

After seeing the stark prices of Manfrotto, I thought I'd risk my luck and spend less than £10 on Amazon's Choice. I am blown away with the quality! Where the materials are slightly cheaper, with a little thinner fingerprint-magnet plastic on the legs, the cost is made up for in quality!The tripod has a lovely weight to it ensuring stability, and grips on feet and screw base. The angle of rotation is quite large and I think I can use it comfortably for astrophotography. Phone clamp is strong and holds phones well. If you're looking for a sturdy Pixi clone on the cheap, this is the one. Thank you 'Amazon's choice', you got me an absolute bargain.

What a fantastic device - it's absolutely brilliant and exactly what I had hoped for - a mini tripod for my action cam and it comes with a mounting plate which will fit most, if not all action cams, but also an expanding bracket to fix a mobile phone too.The tripod is made of a lightweight metal with a swivel head which is controlled by a press button at the side of the tripod at the top, and when depressed gives full range of adjustment.The legs open wide and offer a fantastic, steady base for the action cam or mobile device - absolutely brilliant and great value.

Compact,sturdy and great vfm

Got the "general" version. Now that they have the upgraded version, I wouldn't suggest you buy the cheaper general version because there are many drawbacks to this tripod and you can definitely get something better for the same price. If you just use it for your phone without needing to adjust the head by a lot, then it's fine, I suppose, but anything other than that it's quite restrictive – the ball mount moves quite freely if you put anything heavier on it (like a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 or an action cam that's attached to a handle) and you also only rotate it down by 45 degrees not full 90 degrees.
