Orchiata is a standalone orchid growing substrate that can be used directly from the bag for potting and re-potting orchids, produced from the finest quality, 100% pure New Zealand Pinus radiata bark. Pinus radiata is sourced from renewable, man made forests ensuring availability into the future. New Zealand Pinus radiata is a hard and stable bark compared to other pine species; however, it needs to be processed from its raw state. Our unique natural process creates a high quality, stable, long lasting, toxin free, consistent growing substrate available in different sizes for your specific growing needs. Our process allows Orchiata to hold water and nutrients on the outside layer of each chip, as well as creating a slightly rough surface for roots to anchor to. Growers' have reported that frequent re-potting is not necessary, as potted plants have been known to remain in excellent condition in excess of 5 years. It is available in five convenient sizes: Ex Small (1/8" 4-6mm), Small (3/8" 6-9mm), Medium (1/2" 9-12mm), Large ¾" 12-18mm) and Ex Large (1" 18-25mm).

Perfect 🥰
I really enjoyed this bark; it both felt and smelt great! Very smooth with a fresh earthy scent. I mix my own soil and this was the perfect addition. Big brand bags of bark is very terrible; am positive they are not actual bark now. THIS is most definitely worth every penny and will buy again 💖

Seems like a good orchid bark
I like the idea of a bark that last two or three times longer than regular pine bark, but I ordered large - I received small chips.

Best Orchid Bark
I've consistently used this bark for my phalaenopsis orchids. It lasts, drains well, and my plant continue to thrive year after year. I wouldn't use any other potting medium for my plants.

Pretty good quality
This large chips bark consist of 30% not large chips and some sticks and stones. But I want to say that it is still the best bark I was able to find on amazon and stores. In stores I found just a mix of trash. This size of chips is a a good fit for potting mini orchids that you can see on my picture. For midi orchids I will recommend to opt for the ex-large chips.

Bag is a lot smaller than I thought
Small quantity for the price, but the bark is the best

3/4" is a JOKE
VERY few pieces larger than 1/2" let alone the 3/4" as advertised.
