Super Sound at a Super Price
OMG! This is perfect ! I was hesitant to go drilling a hole in my Ukelele but wanted to have the option of amplification. This fit the bill with easy quick insallation ! No miss no fuss and it produces great ,clear wonderful sounds . I placed the pads in a triangular formation from the bridge down to the sound hole. I did take a tip from someone and got glued the solder joints on the piezos for added protection. 30 minutes total install time and that's cuz I have big club hands lol 😏 . This is a true bargain quality piece comparable to the KK mini but about 80.00 $ cheaper . In fact I used the KK installation video online to do the job . Highly recommended !

Good sound on the cheap
I wanted to try this product out and had a guitar that I could live with or without. $9 isn’t a great deal of money to take a chance on so I sent off for it.It came with no instructions so I referenced the videos on installing the K&K Pure Mini. My guitar is a Gold Tone Weissenborn copy with a small sound hole which proved to be a challenge. After overcoming all that and installing the pickups I was excited to fire it up.Running though a K&K preamp the pickups did what they are designed to do. Running into a Roland JC-120 solid state amp the pickup does a good job of capturing the sound. I did have to tweek up the bass and and go down significantly on the treble via the pre amp. Of note, I play slide on the instrument and the pickups enhanced to string sounds on the slide. It was bothersome at first but I was able to refine my technique to where it’s less noticeable. In all, this is a pretty good deal. I’ve got K&K Pure Mini’s on my other instruments and this isn’t that refined out of the gate, but with good equalization it’ll give you a great bang for your money.

Adequate and inexpensive alternative to K&K Pure Mini Acoustic Guitar Pickup
I installed this on my Martin 00-15m the other night. The hole wasn't large enough for the pin so I had to drill a hole. I'm not great with these sort of things, so I thought I could whittle to make the whole larger, but I ended up drilling the hole. I started with a smaller drill bit and worked my way up each time to get it right. I finally got it right and I started to put the pin through the hole through the soundhole. This was difficult. The Martin is smaller than normal Dreadnought guitars, but I was finally able to get it in there. I had to then take it out because I realized I put the wrong washers on the inside.I would highly recommend this video of the installation of K&K Pure Mini Acoustic Guitar Pickup. It helped me out a lot.[...]The three pickups have sticky pads on the other ends, which I stuck into place using the video above. I'm sure hot glue would have worked better, but I suppose the stickiness should hold for a long time. The wires then can be clamped together using the zip tie and a plastic holder (with a sticky bottom) so you can hold the wires away from the soundhole. It's a little confusing to explain, but using the video and taking your time, you should have no problem installing this on your own. Once I plugged it in and heard the sound I was damn impressed. I may pick up a few more of these for my ukulele and other guitars. The only thing I had to do was turn down the bass on my amp and it sounded just as good as my Dean Markley soundhole pickup (which doesn't fit the 00-15 so well, that's why I installed this.).It takes a few weeks to ship from China, but for the price, you cannot go wrong.

Not Ideal for a Fiddle
I bought this to 'sample' on my violin, I've been buying a bunch of uber cheap pickups, just to try them out, see if it's worth it, and this one I don't think is worth it.It's very delicate, it doesn't take much at all for the little wire to break off of the round thing (I don't know what these parts are called, I apologize), the jack is rather heavy, a little too heavy for my violin, and it didn't produce the best tone. I would need a preamp to get this pickup to sound right. All in all, this isn't going to work for my violin, but I'm going to stick it in my banjo, see what happens.

but the sound is terrible. It's like playing guitar through a tin can
Maybe it was the guitar I installed this on, or maybe it was the piezo design itself, but the sound is terrible. It's like playing guitar through a tin can. The frequency response seems like it's almost entirely above 10kHz, and even with the high & mids turned all the way down on my amp it's high pitched and tinny. And I get a whole lot more of movement noises (the guitar body against my shirt, etc.) than I get of string resonance or notes. And it feeds back very easily.Second issue, the glue in the pads is really good. So good that you cannot move them without breaking the solder join off the center of the piezo disc. And no, I wasn't pulling by the wire, either. I had hoped that relocating the pickups to a different location would help, but all I managed to do was break them.

Near perfect, VERY happy, please read review!
I bought this along with a cheaper unit (with only one pickup), and ended up installing THIS ONE on my nice acoustic ukulele. The sound is honestly pretty amazing. I put one pickup above the strings, one below, and one close to the bridge (all 3 on the inside of course). Some people recommend a preamp, which i may invest in, but i was getting adequate sound from my friends 2 guitar amps with out one. Installation took a total of under 10 minutes, and right off the bat i was having a blast messing around with my friends effects pedals and playing some nifty tunes. The female plug is quite heavy and requires some sort of attachment/anchor, i used velcro strips that i had laying around. Not the best, but not bad, i will probably change the way the plug is attached to my Ukulele soon.Sure, the wires coming out of the sound hole don't look pretty, but i play music to sound good not to look good.My ONLY concern is that the wires that attach to the pickups are only held in by their soldering, not by any other means. This means that any pulling, twisting or force applied to the wires has the potential for breaking. But for 14$ what more can you expect??? I remedied this by securing the wires to the body of my ukulele, which also prevents unwanted noise from wires rubbing on my clothes. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

Piezzos impec!
Même si j'ai refait une soudure sur un des trois piezzos, une fois bien positionnés dans la guitare, la qualité du rendu est impressionnante ! Je recommande pour tous ceux qui veulent sonoriser leur guitare sans la défoncer.

no bugs about these
really good quality of sound ..could possibly do with a preamp too for an even more powerful signal,..placement of the sticky bug mics is everything .. i put one slightly below the treble and one slightly above the bass inside at the bridge, just off the plate, and the third slightly nearer the soundhole ..but some may be better off near the back of the guitar ..it just depends on the type of guitar ... but really pleased!

Works well on acoustic guitar but very treble sounding, ...
Works well on acoustic guitar but very treble sounding, needs to go through pre-amp or eq to control.Experimenting with placement might also help.
