Hard to find shorter antenna - perfect!
Finally found the right length antenna to fix an old boombox. It was so hard to tell if measurements included the shorter bent part that goes into the boombox (it did, in this case), so this was a little on the short end,,but it still works. I just extend it out a wee bit to tuck it away in back when not in use.Two things to note - probably great for most. The screws are on super tight! Holy cow were they ever on tightly. And secondly. I do wish sellers would break down the measurements so we knew ahead of time if it includes the best section .I was originally thinking..who needs 5 antennas? (Was hoping to find a single or double pack, but shorter antennas were so hard to find!) Then I realized, antennas break so easily all of the time. Apparently, I do! (Or will, eventually)

Cats destroyed an X10 SR751 antenna; this works (a little tight)
I have an X10 SR751 RF Repeater Module where one (or several) of my cats managed to chew, bend and break the antenna. Looking around Amazon for a suitable replacement, this was the same length as the original but there was no dimension given for the thickness at the base of the antenna (the blade that is screwed into the mounting swivel). I took a chance ordering this item, figuring if it's too thick I could grind it down or if it was too thin, the original washer that was in the module's base could be used.As it turns out, the blade is thicker than the original, measuring out as 0.075" or 1.9mm, but it still does fit inside the module's swivel. Using the original screw, it tightens down good enough that it looks stock and as an added bonus, the antenna is a little bit snugger so it will take a bit more force to move out of position. Not that it really matters to me since I've taped the antenna onto the body of the module so it won't bend at the base but it still could be chewed on.I'm going to keep the antenna short, not extending the top two sections, so that the overall thickness of the antenna rod is larger than before. If my cat(s) do destroy this one, I'll have a few more replacements on hand.X10 antenna dimensions: Length (fully extended): 11.5" Base thickness: 0.059" or 1.50mmThis item's dimensions: Length (fully extended): 11.5" Base thickness: 0.075" or 1.90mm

perfect. For actual replacement of working antennas
For small craft projects, perfect. For actual replacement of working antennas... probably not so much.

Bring your old radios back from the dead.
Finally a solution for all those radios with the broken or bent antennas. There seems to be a standard size for the recepticle end, as I was able to fix 3 old radios with these. To check that the segment length of 11cm / 4.3" will work for you. Two of my radios were in the 4.3" to 5" range for the antenna when closed. On the third, a 6" segment length would have been better, but if I don't close it all the way, that still works fine.

What an awesome deal!
What an awesome deal. The kind of work I do can get boring, so me and the guys I work with listen to NPR on a small radio. Inevitably, one of the guys I work with always manages to break the antenna on our little radio. Of course now that I have 5 of them...he never seems to break them anymore!...anyway, they work great. I am pleased. Money well spent.

Excellent replacement
This was a replacement for an original antenna that had weak metal in the part that attached to the radio. It fit perfectly. Gets good reception and is obviously stronger than the OEM.
