Great product if you know how to use it right.
I'm not going to repeat product description here. IMO it's all true - great quality built, quality light etc. There is one caveat I want you to know which is not anywhere in the description or their website. Lume Cube can only be charged with USB-A to USB-C cable like the one supplied with it. It can not be charged with USB-C to USB-C cable. No matter what your source of power is. Though you can charge it from devices with USB-C outputs using A to C cable and male C to female A adaptor. It is not a dealbreaker for me, but I wish I knew it beforehand.

Like it very much
A powerful little unit that packs power. Make sure yo buy the snoot add on as you can create some dramatic light. I know they are cheaper knock offs out there but not sure if they perform as well so I'm not disappointed as this one is built solid and comes with an app so I can control the light from my phone.

Leaked
Used mainly as a fill in for video, and only light use. It is a small unit and for close objects/people it's fine and quite bright. Some of the reviews seem to think it should have searchlight ability! Others returned it as they couldn't fit the filter holder. I had the same problem at first-it was initially very hard to fit but it did eventually go on- so persevere. You do want it to be a firm fit when in use.Three times put into water, once into a fish tank when it was new to test it, twice into a garden pond at a depth of about 1ft for about 20min. After retrieving it from the pond it had a dead battery, plugged into charge and the rear cover was tight and hard to open so should be water-tight. The charging port was dry. Charged it, it works but when I look at the front its 1/3 full of water. Its supposed to be waterproof to 30ft!Maybe I am just unlucky but it's disappointing. It isn't cheap and to fail so soon is not impressive.Sorry for the fuzzy photo but it makes the point.

Returned. Dimly-lit style over substance
I received my Lume Cube 2 today about 3 hours ago and it has been repackaged to return. Don't get me wrong -- waterproof, easy to use, Bluetooth functionality and reasonable size (although the product marketing makes it look quite a bit smaller) -- these are all positive points and the magnetic adapters snap with a very satisfying sound. Build quality overall seems top-notch.However, I need my lights to...well, light! I wanted a light to help illuminate me during video conferencing and thought I'd pay a bit of extra money for a light that I could use as a portable device at other times too. However, in my tests the Lume Cube has performed horribly. Even at a distance of less than a metre, it made very little difference on video, invariably doing little other than acting as a fill light with my laptop screen acting as the main light source. The diffuser and warm gel attachment were nice (and needed to achieve a good look) but reduced the output even further.Pair this with a modern DSLR/mirrorless camera with a ISO above 3200 and maybe you'll get much better results. But for my (frankly, very straightforward!) requirements -- it was all-but-pointless. For the same price, I can get two LED panels that'd put out an order of magnitude more light. Returned!

They are very very good!
Always hated flash but needed something to add light at the right time. These beauties are excellent. Sturdy, versatile and simply brilliant.

Modification frame is useless
This was. bought for me as a Christmas present. There is no way the modification frame will fit on the cube itself and as this is needed as an essential part of my photography it renders the item almost useless. Naturally because it is outside of the time to return the item (set aside COVD) Amazon won't do anything. Be aware.

Good product but with a bit of problems
Good light for creative photography, but maybe too dark for narrower aperture (like f/8) photography in the dark (only good if you want to light paint). And as some other reviews stated, light is too bright to take photos with people (only if using it as backlight or using it with optical trigger).Phone app shows very inconsistent battery life left for the cubes. Seems that cubes are also draining battery while not being used - at least for me I had to charge them again after a month or less of almost no using. And do not forget to disconnect bluetooth(I guess that was the reason why one of the cubes were dead after less than a week of no use - before it was fully charged).I found that optical trigger is not always working - I do not know the reason. There is no way to know if battery is finished charged - at least my cubes shows that they are still charging even after 2,5 hours.I have not tested it in the water, but the rubber cap on the charging port do not look completely waterproof, I guess it is still possible for some water to get in.Good light if you learn how and when to use it, but given the problems/design flaws described above I think it is a bit overpriced.
