Perfect for two people, easy to use
Here are my original comments just TWO DAYS after using the Yedi. Please see my amended comments 9/13/21 below, almost a year after purchase, which includes my disappointment and frustration with this product.. “All the hype about “Air Fryer Ovens” is for real. After doing some research choose this model for the small size and the reviews. Have just been using it for two days now but absolutely love it. Super easy to use and clean up. I made space for it on our countertop and it was well worth the sacrifice. Am getting rid of the toaster; don’t need it anymore. Considering getting rid of the microwave, or replacing it with a smaller one. The Yedi does it all. Have not used it for “air frying” yet but will give that a try soon. Planning to roast something-maybe lamb or beef-for New Years. This oven is perfect for two people. Very happy with the Yedi.”Am updating this review today, September 13, 2021. Here’s what I’ve learned after having the Yedi for almost a year. The rotisserie/grilling functions work very well. Yes, it’s true, you can only roast a smaller chicken, ie 3-4 pounds on the rotisserie. The only chickens that size are the organic free range types (as they are not pumped up with hormones…). Rotisserie is great for beef or fish kabobs, steaks etc. The vegetable grilling function also works great. I use the Yedi to toast nuts. As another reviewer mentioned, it mostly just dries out bread rather than “toasting” it like a regular toaster. But I have been really frustrated and disappointed in the alleged “air fryer” hype on this product. NONE of the recipes I’ve followed in the booklet-or things I’ve found online-have produced a good result. Unless you are using the preset functions ie for chicken etc, it’s very difficult to know at what temperature or how long to cook something. The result is underdone or burned. Tonight I tried to bake apples in the Yedi, which seemed like it should have been simple enough. Found a recipe online which called for 15 minutes at 350. It took almost three times that long to get the apples soft, which seems utterly ridiculous given that air fryer/convection cooking is supposed to be FASTER. After checking the apples at 15 minutes I did something I should have done months ago when I first had a problem; I put my oven thermometer to see what the actual temperature was. I also turned the temperature up to 360 degrees. The temperature never got over 340 degrees! Before writing up this review I wrote to Yedi customer service, and asking them if this was “normal”. Do air fryer ovens NORMALLY run below the alleged temperature they are set at? And the circulating air makes up the difference? In any case it seems absurd to me that it took almost 45 minutes to bake two small apples!! Would have been faster in the gas oven. I’m pretty sure I’m stuck with the Yedi now, but wanted to warn others. It’s not as great as it sounds. If you’re looking for air “frying” this is NOT the appliance you want. Perhaps the trade off is that because it’s smaller, it just can’t do what a regular air fryer does.

Great value, great product, exceptional customer service.
I absolutely love that it stays cool to the touch (except the glass of course), has multi-levels cooking abilities and multiple tools/trays which come with the oven. It is so user-friendly I even taught my 91 years old dad how to use it! You can pause the cooking to flip the food by simply opening the door, and it turns right back on as soon as you shut the door. The light is great to use to peak in on the food as it cooks and it automatically will shut off after a bit. The trays are a bit snug on the fit, but nothing that makes it unusable. The one issue I have is that crumbs can get into the small cracks of the seal of the glass on the door...nothing a toothpick can’t solve...but everything else cleans up easily. Make sure to READ the entire manual (only a few pages) prior to using! We did receive a defective part with our oven, but the customer service was quick, efficient and respectful. I sent an email including pictures of the defective part and in less than a week I had a replacement part. I highly recommend this air-fryer oven...looks and cooks great!

Best one I have used so far!
I wasn't sure I would like this one, being my third. The first was a small basket type that I ditched because it was small and inconvenient. The second one was larger and worked great until I removed the door for cleaning. Then it no longer worked unless I jimmied the door upwards with a table knife so the stupid switch would engage. The Yedi is smaller than the second one, but it works superbly. I use it every day for all meals requiring cooking. I make chicken jerky for my dogs; air-fry fish, chicken, fries, burgers...It does it all. Rotisserie a steak in the basket! Oh yum! I even threw away my toaster because this thing has a preset button for toast. I can watch my bread toast in less time and know exactly how it will turn out. I love making a burger and fries at the same time and the hardest part is the 10-minute wait! Today, I roasted onions, peppers, and garlic for my spaghetti sauce. Oh, that took 10 minutes as well. They were great! Some people claim the Yedi is too small for a family of four. I might agree with that. But there are just two of us, so it works fine. For a family, I would recommend the NuWave Pro Oven. That is what I was using before along with the air-fryer until I bought the Yedi. I used the NuWave for roasting chicken or anything of size, but it was still lacking the convenience this air-fryer provides. So that's it. I do 90% of my cooking in the Yedi except what must be done on top of the stove like boiling water, sauces, etc. I don't use my oven at all anymore. Food is quick, juicy, and it doesn't shrink like it does when fried on the stove. Sorry, I don't have a picture of something cooked up all nice and crispy delicious, but I would eat it before I could get the shot.

Almost Perfect!
This was the second air fryer oven I purchased recently because another brand (Innsky) died after only four days. After more research I decided to give the Yedi a try. This is the second week of cooking and for the most part it's been great. I really like all the accessories that are included, especially the shallow mesh tray which works great when moving food around. I also really like the only rack that's non-stick coated is the bottom grease tray. The metal racks come clean with a little soaking time and the inside wipes easily. I wish the hot racks wouldn't fall out when you only pull them out part way. I found this also happened with the Innsky brand so it's not just Yedi. I now remember to remove the racks completely when repositioning hot food so they don't just drop. The controls are pretty easy to use but I do find I often toggle past the type of food I intended to select, and have to keep advancing to select correctly. Single push buttons would have been nice for each food type. It seems solidly built, the fan runs quietly and I like the inside light. Even though it's 12.7 qts the size isn't overwhelming on my counter. Overall I'm happy with my purchase - it's almost perfect :)
