Ungex | Demodex Defence Cleanser | Facial Wash for Acne Rosacea, Inflammation | DDC

I have rosacea and was excited to try this facial cleanser to see if it helped at all. I will say that after using it daily for about a week, I did notice a difference in the redness. The cleanser itself lathers nicely and smells of tea tree, at least in my personal opinion. I try to use just a pump, and once lathered, I feel that is the perfect amount to cleanse my face. Due to the price, I want to use it sparingly. I am curious to see how this will react with acne. It says it can help acne. I will also say that using this product was a whole educational experience. I had no idea acne and rosacea could be caused by mites. I'm not sure if my rosacea is due to mites or not, but I will say this cleanser does seem to be helping.

Ungex Demodex Defence Cleanser ReviewI ordered this for my husband who has been diagnosed with blepharitis for a couple of decades and at times has suffered very much with the pain this eye disease can cause. After much reading since he was diagnosed I finally came to the conclusion that it is most likely caused my the demodex mite although for some reason his ophthalmologists have never even brought the subject of mites up although we have and they will agree it could me but never really offer any suggestions. Over the years he has washed his face daily with a tea tree oil face wash and also used tea tree oil wipes throughout the day. Both things have been a big help yet he regularly gets blepharitis in one eye and sometimes both. So ever on the lookout for something to be of more help I came across this product and it was on Amazon! I ordered and happily it came quickly. My husband has so far been using it only as a face wash. He is in a current blepharitis “attack” in one eye that started about 4 days before he began using Demodex Defence Cleanser so he has several more days to go before getting rid of it this time. Our hopes are that with regular use he can get rid of this condition or at least reduce the frequency of having these outbreaks.I asked him to tell me what Demodex Defence Cleanser felt like when he uses it which he does in the shower. He said that it has a pleasant scent that reminds him of peppermint only slightly medicinal. I sniffed it and thought that it wasn’t a bad scent and was also slightly medicinal smelling. He said it is thinner than some face wash he has used and has a slight amber tint. He thinks it is sudsy enough. He feels like this cleanser cuts through the oil and grease on his face but doesn’t leave his face feeling stripped (he still has very oily skin at age 74 and look young for his age). He said it leaves his face feeling nice and clean feeling and I agree. And even though he shaves right before using this cleanser it does not cause any stinging and he has not experienced any redness after using. His current attack of blepharitis is getting better and I am hoping this product prevents more attacks. If it does I will try my best to update this review after a few months and will also be ordering more of this product. For now I will rate this as 4 stars and will gladly change the review to 5 stars if it does help prevent or reduce blepharitis. This product is enclosed in a good informative cosmetic type box that had security seals on both ends of the box. The box was enclosed in a small sealed plastic bag with a large sticker that said to read the instructions before using. There are complete well written instruction included. Inside. This product is made in Australia which I feel comfortable with.

I am so excited to have discovered this brand, Ungex, and learn about mites on the skin. This cleanser is intended for face, scalp and body to disrupt the environment for Demodex thus reducing itchiness, irritation and inflammation. For years, I have wondered why I have this crawling sensation on my body at times and this could be the reason. Apparently, it’s a common issue but my dermatologist never felt to educate me or determine if this could be the cause. Through Ungex, I have fast tracked my education and feel this is the root cause of the itchiness I have felt at times. The cleanser arrived properly sealed and packaged for safety and purity. There was a note on the side of the package to “read first” before using. The first night, I used as a facial cleansing and my skin was so fresh and clean after! The scent of the herbals is vitalizing to the senses, however, it’s providing a real purpose to cleanse pores of Demodex leaving behind healthier skin. I am hooked on this brand and will now be using this cleanser as a body and hair wash today. I’ve suffered with hair loss and thinning for years and wonder if Demodex could be the reason for that as well? I’m hoping to see good results in my hair as well. This company has created a line of products dedicated to providing a solution for people who suffer with the never ending itchiness on their skin and scalp, and I am grateful! The gel cleanser is clear and provides a nice foamy richness on the skin to cleanse and hydrate. So far, this is already showing effectiveness in reducing inflammation on my face and I feel that investing in this product line is an exceptional value for the money.

Good cleanser but I am not really sure if it works. I waited a while to write my opinion of this product so maybe a few weeks after using it is sufficient enough. I can't say it works very well although the cleansing parts works ok and you feel clean after the rinse. Does it resolve or even give you a relief from the itchiness? A little bit but I expected more relief than what I experienced. There is some kind of scent or smell but tolerable.. However, I have a very sensitive nose that gives me a migraine reaction after a few sniffs and that is actually what I am worried about. The price for what I think is a small bottle is too high for my budget. Now would I recommend it? Some might benefit from it and some (like me) got a little plus using it so I say it all depends on the user.

I have rosacea and am always cautious about what I use on my skin. I’ve been loyal to the La Roche-Posay Toleriane cleanser and Avene Antirougeurs Soothing Cream for years but decided to switch things up and try something new. I came across the Cetaphil Redness Relieving Foaming Face Wash on Amazon and was intrigued, especially since I’d never used a cleanser with zinc before.One month in, and my skin is smoother, brighter, and far less red. I still have a little residual rosacea redness but nothing like before. I’m really happy with this cleanser, definitely my new go-to. Solid 5 stars!
