Actually Works, Seems Well Made and Durable
The saw actually cuts, as well as being a great value for three of these considering how they are constructed. Tried one on a 2-1/2" dead branch that had fallen, and with firm, not aggressive half bent arms width motion back and forth, cut a half inch into the branch with only a half dozen strokes. Saw appears well constructed, as well as reasonably durable if used firmly, not aggressively and with persistent and consistent motion. The saw coils up again with out springing away and can easily be slid back into its small ziplock bag.

Durable
I thought about making a dark humor review, then thought better of it. I bought these to remove some drawer knobs that were glued on. I didn't want to risk damaging the drawer fronts, so these worked well. I can attest though, if your hands have been compromised by arthritis or a wound of some sort, skip these and get a small electric hand saw.

Tiny
Very small but functional. While I prefer my heavier set with more comfortable handles, I prefer carrying one of these in a go bag. Light. Small. But I think they will do in a pinch.

Fair tool.
This is a so-so wire saw - for limited use in survival kits. The two rings used to pull the saw are fine, except they are the same diameter. This reduces the functionality of the tool as it cannot be used for other purposes such as a snare. Tools for wilderness survival need to have more than one purpose, several if possible. It does cut through plastic rather nicely.

The cost
I can't give much of a review. I haven't used it yet but they did come in quickly. Three came in a pack & I intend to leave one in my car, my husband's & keep one with my camping gear.

2 Weird Tricks to Making These Saws Work Like Magic
When you see reviews online about these commando saws, you'll see A LOT of even seasoned bushcraft / survival experts dismissing them. That is simply because they don't know how to properly use a commando saw. There are 2 tricks:1. Never allow the wires to get twisted during use. The heavy duty barrel swivels on the Lyka saw ensure that they don't twist. Most commando saws don't include this feature.2. Never wrap the saw around what you want to cut. Keep the wires straight as possible to reduce stresses on the metal.Bonus Tip: Take off the impressively robust split key rings these saws come with and replace them with 2 short loops of paracord. Your hands will thank you, especially on cold winter days.

Junk
I bought several different types of survival saws and tested them. This broke on the 2nd pull after sticking a bit. 200 lb Kevlar cord works way better but still breaks after awhile. The saws with a chainsw type blade works best but still takes lots of work.
