We use these in our camper floor vents in the summer when we are not using the heat. They do a great job at catching dirt and dog hair. So worth the money.

Ease of installation has a lot to do with age and condition of the heater vent you're dealing with. Mine was all bent up and old. But using two plastic forks I was easily able to put filters into each one and even though I'm handicapped it was simple to do the entire house's vents.They are thin lightweight and flexible. I live in an older mobile home and all of the heat ducts are filled with dust no way to clean them out. So every year they blow dirt out and coat the furniture with the thin layer of dust and my allergies go crazy. It's a mess to clean up. There was a huge difference. No dust came out and my allergies were not triggered by the heat coming on. They are so thin the heat comes right through them with no problem. But they collect all of the dust. You get enough that you can replace them as they fill with dust. I can't believe I have never thought to purchase them before.As an added bonus they keep things from falling down into the vent. When I cleaned out the vents I was startled to see how much stuff had fallen through the grill. Stuff I could not figure out how it fit through. But that's not going to be a problem anymore. Love these.

On the thin side. Needs to be stiffer to prevent from shifting within the vents.

Each pieces material density is different, not consistent filtration. The sizing is off, I measured our registers according to the product page and they do not fit our register very well, leaving gaps. And they shed while air is pushing through them, kind of defeats the products intended purpose.
