God's Bio
Ever wonder what God actually gets up to in His own realm? Ever wonder how and why we got here? Ever wonder who the Origin of All That Is actually is? The Bhagavatam has all the answers. Transcendental theistic science at its finest. As Emerson put it, ''the Bhagavatam is to be read on one's knees.''

Misleading
This is part one of the first canto. This isn't stated clear enough in the description- only that it is the First Canta. Which sounds like first canto. Part one should be stated as such. Purposely misleading perhaps.

Excellent book
Srimad Bhagavatam is the follow on book from Bhagavad-Gita. This book deals with topics about our universe etc there are other volumes avialable covering every concievable topic you can think of. They are a encyclopaedia reference work relating to our planet, the outer planets, whom we are, our relationship with God, evidence he exists, and what his activities are. A truly marvelous work. This volume though Vol 1 is easy to understand and will be ideal for the reader with a discerning, enquiring mind.

The Story of the Fortunate One
I bough the whole set of Srimad Bhagavatam containing 18.000 verses and consisting of 12 books also called cantos. Started reading this 1st Canto which is on sale here at Amazon a year or so ago. Its an amazing book. I suggest you read Bhagavad Gita As-It-Is first then begin to read this. Its like the next level up and therefore should be approached systematically. If anyone is lucky enough to own this book you will know what I mean. It is a brilliant story that has been brought to the West by AC Swami Bhaktivedânta Prabhupâda who undertook the daring task of enlightening the materialist westerners as well as the advanced philosophers and theologians, in order to help them to overcome the perils and loneliness of impersonalism and the philosophy of emptiness. Read and be Happy.
