The best condition used phone I've ever purchased
LG G8 was as described in his advertisement and it came really fast in the mail and the phone was pristine when I got it I wouldn't hesitate to buy another phone from this gu..y thumbs up..

A very capable phone with excellent features. Totally delivers on its promises.
I need a new phone to replace my LG V20. I loved my V20, but the battery life was compromised and I was running low on memory. The LG G8 ThinQ has great reviews, so I bought it. I absolutely love LG phones and will miss them when they are no longer available. I have to say this phone is incredible. It was easy to transfer to this new device on my Verizon account. Setup was super easy. The phone was in like-new condition. No one can tell this was a renewed. I have to say that this phone is smaller than I would have liked, but it is working out. It is super slippery, so I had to buy a case for it and a glass screen protector. I was dropping it multiple times a day or sliding it across a table. The colors are vibrant. It holds all the apps I had before and more. Perform is great. Battery life is incredible. As always there are some pre-installed apps I cannot get rid of, but I am able to disable them. The photo quality of the camera is right up there with Apple and Samsung. Yes, I have both of those phones to compare them against. The fingerprint reader and face reader are super. I have had no problems with either one. If I run into any problems, I will update my review, but after the first several months, I am super happy with this phone.

This phone is garbage.
Bought here on Amazon and out of the box it would freeze up regularly.Three weeks in, I can no longer make or take calls on Verizon. The phone loses cellular connection and won't reconnect unless I change Network Type. When making calls, I get "internal server error". Incoming calls just ring but cannot answer.Fingerprint reader is sketchy at best. Regularly will not work and end up logging in the old fashioned way.Don't buy from this seller.

Moved from a LG V20 to a G8 ThinQ
I've been a huge LG fan since moving over from Samsung years ago. I absolutely loved my LG V20, but because I'm such a software freak, I wanted a phone that offered more than 4 gigs of RAM memory. Many people think that 4 gigs is plenty for a phone, but I heartily disagree, especially if you're software intensive.I decided to go with the G8 ThinQ because it had 6 gigs of RAM and sparkling reviews. For the most part, I love it. LG makes some of the best phones in the biz. There were a couple of big tradeoffs though. The power button on the V20 was also the fingerprint reader, located perfectly in the middle of the back of the phone. When I would pick up the phone, my finger was naturally right there to just press on it. Easy peasy. With the G8, although the fingerprint reader is still located in the same place, the power button is now on the right side, which causes me to have to feel for the power button to turn it on. I know other phone brands are the same, but LG has discarded something which was nominally easier for users of either hand and traded their uniqueness in order to be more mainstream. That was a mistake.Another thing they did was bake the battery into the unit, unlike the V20, which had a removeable battery. Again, I believe they took this action to be more mainstream. Another mistake. The phone itself is great. I have some minor quibbles about needless baked-in software I can't disable (unless I root my phone), so I have to live with it. Samsung in the undisputed king of needless baked-in software though. The 6 gigs of memory makes for a very speedy phone, so I'm extremely happy in that regard. It's the reason I wanted to make a change from my beloved V20 and.....mission accomplished.

Essentially a brand new 2019 flagship for a fraction of the price... and unlocked
I'm not going to review the LG G8 itself-- I think it competes with most other flagships, and I wanted a phone without a curved screen and that isn't enormous, which is getting harder to find these days.As far as refurbs go, this was in mint condition. I have yet to find anything wrong with it after a few days of use. What's more, the phone had originally been activated in Oct 2019 and factory reset in Nov 2019. So not only was it in great condition as a probable customer return, but it came unlocked since Verizon unlocks their phones 60 days after initial purchase. I suspect almost all of this "Renewed" stock will be in the same situation (original customer trial + retailer selling returned unit to refurbisher + refurbisher selling on Amazon > 60 days, in most cases). So I didn't even need to switch to Verizon proper, I just popped in my Verizon MVNO sim card, and it worked.Fantastic value compared to most other options right now, particularly if you want a flat screen. Very pleased. Will update the review if I find any issues.

So far it's great..
I was way overdue for an upgrade, my old Samsung had only 16gb of space on it and was impossible to really use anymore, even after adding SD card. After pricing phones through Verizon, I decided to go this route. and save some money.Looked like new out of the box, well packaged. Charger and cord also included. I was sweating transferring contacts and pictures, but Google pretty much did it all for me, easier than expected. Swapped out SIM card, off and running. No problems with our existing Verizon service. Updated to Version 11 without a hitch. I don't use facial recognition or fingerprinting, but they are available. Battery life good, and charges fast. For less than 200 bucks I got basically a new phone that I expect will last me a long while. One of my better buys in recent memory!

Phone gets stuck while you are using it.
I like the price of the phone and the ease of tranferring my data. My problem is that sometime the phone gets stuck on a certain app and I have to shut if off and restart for it to work correctly. I think i will have to return it if it doesn't get better. I have only had it going on two weeks.
