Start-X Plug N Play Remote Starter Kit for Toyota 4Runner 2010-2019 / Key Start Engine

just put this in my 11 4runner trail. works great, the install and programming were easy once I had the covers off the underdash and wheel. that said the videos linked in the instruction for getting into the dash are very quick and skip some steps. you would be better off watching some of the many other videos on youtube explaining how to get the covers off. once the covers are off its like 5 minutes to plug in and program, then a few more to figure out how you want to zip tie the control box inside the dash and secure your wires. I have a trailer brake controller in there too, but there was still plenty of room. most of your install time will be spent getting the covers on and off.

This is one of the firsts things I purchased after buying my car and I have been very happy with it. This product is very useful and easy to install. I recommend looking to a YouTube video video of someone installing one before starting. I love how the system is plug and play. Anyone can install it with a little bit of time. It's very nice being able to use the factory keys and I use this product all the time to warm up my car. A warning from my personal experience the extra wiring is a tight fit to get the trim peices on the steering collum but it does fit it will just take some trial and error. Also I suggest using having command strips to use to secure the main body of the unit somewhere secure and out of the way.

This remote starter is the best thing since sliced bread! I love it and use it all the time. After church while I am chatting with my church family, my car is warming up and I never have to step outside to start it. Installation was very simple and no wires or anything to cut, just pull and play. Love it!

Super simple to install. Had issues with programming (my fault) but customer service answered my email very quickly and got my problem resolved. I use this now on a regular basis and it's well worth the money - even has an anti-theft feature that turns it off after so much time.

Hardest part was zip tying the control unit under the dash in a somewhat professional manner

2014 4Runner SR5 without push start.If you would like to use this, you will need to tap into a wire. You will also need to purchase a t-tap self stripping wire connector. Well, I say "need", but you can get around this if you feel like spending time on it.Extra purple wires that others spoke about--this is an adaptor that is not needed. I'm not sure why it's there when instructions state not to use it.I'd say it's worth the price tag of less than $200. I think it would save some frustration if the instructions were better written for this model and if the t-tap wire connector was included (these are purchased in bulk at a fairly cheap price, so it would not kill the company to include it).

This is a great product. I have a 2019 4Runner TRD off road with keyed ignition. The only think I didn’t like about this vehicle is that I was getting into a cold car. I hate that. This product is easy to install, and works great. The hardest part was getting my hands in the tie up the wires to keep them out of the way as I finished. Otherwise, super easy to install. It took me about 45 minutes. I highly recommend this product.
